Who said Game Trailers lacked journalistic integrity? Geoff Keighley is like the Anderson Cooper of our generation. (Vid below...)

Yes! They mention nuclear subs here. Wait for it. (Vid below...)

Microsoft hates our troops!!!

That makes so much sense.  I do not have a solid enough internet connection, so I should buy a second Xbox 360 instead of the Xbox One.  Brilliant, let me go and pre-order one of those.

@transmet2033 and @leeradical42 I didn't know you all lived in nuclear submarines?

If either of them relies on Time Warner for internet like I do, it's really quite similar to living on a nuclear sub. Close enough.

I am actually in the middle of a week without a strong internet connection because of my move, so yes, I may as well be in a nuclear submarine.

The American company is doing this? ... fuck it, I quit.

Fuck you, nuclear submarine guys! Most people aren't living in nuclear submarines anyway! (Though if you're like me you live in an area frequentely plagued by brown outs, black outs, and internet disconnections. And yeah, I live in a city, not in a backwater podunk town with a population of only 85 people)

So, the solution is get a 360 as opposed to re-designing the most current Xbox console to accomodate more gamers? Bravo microsoft, bravo! You totally dodged a bullet there. (sarcasm)

Is anyone really surprised?  Don Mattrick essentially is towing the Microsoft #Dealwithit line. This viewpoint that Mattrick is espousing is highly troublesome in that it exposes the future that is to come between the electronically connected haves and and have nots,  not just in the gaming world but in society at large.  What Mattrick is ponticficating is marginalization against rural gamers, poor gamers, gamers in inner cities whoose electrical infrastructure is insufficient through no fault of their own (thus making them more prone to have the misfortune of blackouts and brownouts), cousins, brothers and sisters who would lend each other games to offset the obscene pricing of new games,  geographically displaced gamers many of whom are US soldiers in foriegn lands who are in desperate need of an escape from the life and death realities they face in service of our country. This is arrogance.  This is greed. This is gluttony. This is evil. This is Microsoft believing that every one lives in a Redmond, Washington middle to upper class bubble, and to hell with all you peasants who can't afford an internet connection or the $59.99 USD new game price tag. It's disgusting. My choice is already made for the next Gen -- PS4 all the way.

This is true. MS is moving ahead without us. The thing that gets me though is that they drop allegedly one billion dollars on third party devs to keep them off Sony's PS4. So go ahead without us, but why keep games from us altogether.

Jokers, not buying an Xbone will be easyer than breathing oxygen, they're only sticking to their guns to save face at this point, M$ are a mess.

It's gonna be hard to avoid all the advertisements they will bomb us with this holiday. What if the gaming public gets amnesia?

it's funny you should say that, i went into my local Supermarket Tescos and i only saw Pre-orders for PS4, i think that suggest somethingWink

asrealasitgets

I'm only familiar with Tescos through British comedy and it's always used as a punchline, like jokes end with , "got it at Tescos". [Audience laughsLaughing

ugh, so much like my lifeWink

Think of it as a slightly less shady or agressive Wallmart, that is until, a few weeks ago. they made these passive agresize ads trying to address all the jokes about them, i wasn't ammused.

Sure Microsoft, because you asked so nicely I'll just stick with my nearly ten-year old 360 (which has been collecting dust this year) and sit out the next-gen. Who needs exciting new games like MGSV when I can play MGS2 in HD!

asrealasitgets

06/12/2013 at 10:36 PM

But MGSV is a huge open world with stealth and it's an open world, did I mention open world?

According to them, you can go screw yourself if you don't have internet. That's about 30% of Americans. They're just hanging themselves.

06/12/2013 at 10:37 PM

I saw someone post on another site XBO wants you to screw yourself while watching you do it. Ewwww. Creepy.

gigantor21

The arrogance...it's Sony @ E3 2006 all over again. All that's missing is a Xone-exclusive giant enemy crab.

Frankly, I'm more likely to get a 360 for the exclusives I missed once it's cheaper than a Xone. At least with that I won't need Live to play single player games. I'll be sure to get it used so they don't see a dime out of it. -_-

asrealasitgets

06/12/2013 at 10:39 PM

Oh no. You are the enemy. Buying used games and consoles, the very idea? Can't you see MS is so broke. You created the XBO problem. LOL.Cool

gigantor21

06/13/2013 at 12:17 AM

Yes, I'm one of the cheap, entitled douches that dares to think that--le gasp!--the industry overestimates just how much their games are worth. Sue me. :p

Ps4 is where my money will be spent at least they care what gamers want and needfreaking Xbone has got so full of tthemselves and i feel partly to blame after all i have been giving them my money for four years now, the only thing i will miss from Microsoft is there excellent online they do have that going for them but thats it.

asrealasitgets

06/12/2013 at 10:40 PM

But don't you want to play Dead Rising 3 and Quantum Break? You will miss out on Halo and Forza?

leeradical42

06/13/2013 at 04:17 AM

No i can say with ease no i wont miss any of these for god sakes i feel worse missing Disgea 3 & 4 and Ar Tonelico, and Ni No Kuni on the PS3 then anything on the 360 lol!!

This is what I hate about Microsoft. They say "It's my way or the highway" and screw the consumers. If they think they can have a console thrive on the "broskie" crowd, they'll learn how wrong they are. Sony is the only company that is remembering the people that made them who they are, and that's the core/hardcore gamers, not the broskies or the casual consumer.

Also, on the topic of the whole Kinect thing and all, what I really dislike is, even though they say it won't always be watching, they can lie as they have done in the past with other things. I game in my bedroom, and, being a healthy 18 almost 19 year old young man who practices abstinence with his girlfriend, I need to relieve stress so to speak at times, and I don't want my gaming console, Microsoft, or the government checking in on my "me time". It's kinda gross and scary.

leeradical42

06/13/2013 at 04:23 AM

Yea i can agree with your concerns being a father of four and a son close to your age i could see how the kinect would be bothersome and the fact that they want youu connected 24 hours to keep playing the Xbone is even more disturbing lol!!!
