Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, is a action rpg and was first released in 2009 under the name Ego Draconis and was published by CDV Entertainment. The updated 2011 release called Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga which includes the expansion Flames of Vengence, as well as the final 2012 release as Divinity II: Developer,s cut were published by Focus Home Interactive, and in the US was published by Atlus.

This is a game with the expansion is over a hundred hours long, yes this is a huge game and when you get ready to tackle this beast, you better be in for the long haul, because if you think you can play it for a few days and go back to it at a later date you will forget what you were doing and in this game if you forget your screwed and will have to start over, i learned that the. hard way, try 40 hours in and came back with no clue and litterally had to start over, so word from the wise if you start this game commit to it. You can wage war as a human or a dragon, you begin your adventure as a human dragon slayer, but are soon transformed into a dragon knight with the ability to change into dragon form at will, from this point perspectives shift as both your skills and objectives adapt to encompass the concerns of land, air, human and dragon. Apart from your main mission, the open land of Rivellon and its many secrets and surprises lie in wait for the daring to explore, every nook and cranny hides a new path to explore, you can take on up to 180 missions and watch the storyline change depending on how you react and answer questions etc, this really is a expansive world to explore and tons of things to do.

The branching conversation tree,s play a huge role in your direction of the game, and also affect non-combat segments such as platforming or puzzles elements, when interacting with an npc you will often have the option to read there mind, which can provide you with information and extra choices in quest, or equipment, at a certain cost to your experience points, then the experience debt then has to be paid in order to gain experience. After a certain point in the game the character gains a base of operations known as the battle tower as well as become a dragon in large spaces. Dragon combat works similarly to ground based combat, but the three diminsions as a dragon, the character still has a regular attack as well as skills they can use, and equipment to improve there abilities.

The game takes place in the world of Rivellon from Divine Divinity although much time has passed since the end of Divine Divinity wich is a pc game i might add, the graphics are done average not bad by any means just nothing to fancy and the framerate is subperb no slow down  or glitches that i found, the music and voice acting i really think was done subperb, you can see that alot of love and attention to detail was taken into careful consideration when they made this game, the control and mapping was right on never once did i havea issue with the controls or camera, the game has a strong narrative and open ended design and the only reason this game didnt get the attention it deserves was because of poor timing upon release of bigger rpg titles.

This awesome game offers a genuinely engrossing world for rpg buffs to wallow in and remember this is another Xbox 360 exclusive and if you enjoy rpgs at all you will love the dragon knight saga.

My Score 4.5 out of 5 Excellent

When I played through this it was one of my "rpgs of the year". I loved this game! Good to see it's getting more recognition finally.

I actually started playing Divine Divinity with 16 hours in. Hopefully I'll get to a point where I can check this game out because I already love Divine Divinity.
