My first game was Spider-Man 2 for the Gameboy Advance. I think I was too young to remember wether it was a good game or not, but it was Spider-Man, and it was darn fun got play. I still remember seeing Spider-Man 2 in theaters like, 5 times. It's my favorite superhero movie.

This is probably gonna sound cliche', but the first game I ever beat was Super Mario Bros. on NES. The first game I ever played was Double Dragon on NES. I am still playing those two lol.

The first game I ever finished I believe was Streets of Rage 2 on the Sega Mega Drive/ Genesis with my best friend. At least I think we finished it. I remember playing non stop breakfast through to dinner.

Probably Super Mario World.  I guess I beat Contra on NES, but I had to use the code so I don't feel like counting it.

I am sure that it was something on the SNES like A Link to the Past.  I never had an luck actually finishing any of the NES games that we owned.

I honestly don't know. It was probably something like Donkey Kong on the atari, or Jumpman or Space Taxi on the C64. I do remember the first game that I beat on the NES was Super Mario Brothers.

Street Fighter 2 Turbo on SNES. First game I ever played, too.

Many of my first games had no endings.  They just kept going.  The first game I can remember getting to the end of was probably Super Mario Bros (NES), but even that kept going.  I also made it to the end of Kung Fu and Gyromite and they also continued going on.  Whatever game I did play to a true end, I don't remember.  I'm sure it was on the NES.

A friend and I worked weekend after weekend memorizing the moves for Dragon's Lair in the arcades until we finally beat the game. We were competing to see who would get there first but I forget who won.

The Legend of Zelda on the NES, for sure. Man, I love that game.

Same here! I had played tons on Atari and in the arcade, but most couldn't be finished. Well, I finished Adventure on easy probably 50 times before Zelda, but that takes about five minutes so it probably shouldn't count.

Alright, good man! Come to think of it, I may have actually beaten Adventure before Zelda as well, but I honestly can't remember. I always loved that one too, mostly because it made me think of Zelda.

Super Mario Bros, or Duck Hunt. Don't know which was first, as it came as a combo with the NES.

Good question.  It was probably Super Mario Brothers or Zelda.  Not sure which I beat first.

The first game I played was Kirby's Dream Land for the Game Boy, which probably makes it the first game I beat too, since it's so easy. Otherwise probably Super C for the NES.

Sonic 3 for the Genesis. Only Sonic game I've ever beaten, by the way.

Do you count Li'l Kid Mode on Toejam and Earl, Panic on Funkotron? xD

The first game I beat was Onimusha for the ps1. It's really odd since I didn't really go for action-y games at the time...

The first game I ever "beat" was probably Necromancer, a game by Synapse Software from the early 1980s that appeared on the Atari XL and XE computers. The first video game I ever played was Donkey Kong in the arcades back in 1981.

Well the first game I ever beat was TMNT 3 The Manhatten Project with the assistance of the infamous Konami code and my little brother. First game I beat solo with no cheats was Super Castlevania IV, still proud as shit of that little accomplishment, lol.

First game I ever beat was Mickey's Space Adventure (hey I was a little kid) on the Apple ][+ PC back in the early 80's.
