Well, it was a long time coming, but I reached my life-long dream of beating Final Fantasy VII last night! So why is this a big deal to me?

So now we start week 3 of BaD.  Let's do this!  This week, I decided to just go with random pictures of gaming stuff.  It's won't neccessarily be unique, but it will be fun for me to post (not to mention super easy too).  Here we go...

Thanks to my street not being paved today, I am home once again instead of risking life and limb to be in the office.  And that's just fine with me!  I will need to dig my car out from the surround bank of snow, but I'll wait until the sun really heats things up this afternoon.  Otherwise, I'm all set for the weekend.  Also, it's mid-February, which means that I made it through half the month on the Blog A Day challenge!  Woo Hoo!

Well, it's official-- I'm snowed in and on telework status.  YAY!  Today's DnB is brought to you by a gent know as Random Movement with his song "Down Somehow".  This is a great song to chill out to.  Very milky smooth drum beats and bass lines compimented by a nice vocal loop.  Check it out.  You can't help but to bounce to the rythm just a little bit.

Here in Maryland, we're all getting ready to get some serious snow beginning this evening around 9:00pm and continuing until Thursday afternoon.  They say we're in for at least 4 to 6 inches on the low end, meaning that we could easily get more if mother nature says so.  This is great for me because that means there's a 200% chance that I'll be working from home tomorrow :-)

I don't have much to write about today.  I'm famous for being up well past 12:00 midmight playing on my PlayStation 3 instead of joining the wife in sleepyville.  Well, I'm sort of paying for it this moring.  I'm light on words and heavy on that "I need coffee" feeling.  But I will prevail!  Anyway, today's DnB is brought to you by Submorphics (no pictured in the YouTube video) with his song "Hurt So Bad".  It's a bit retitive, but I can't enough of the 70's-ish vocals.  Unfortunately, this 2 minute and 30 second snippet was all I could find, but that might be perfect seeing as how I don't have much to say today myself.

Happy Monday everyone!  It's my lunch break, so I thought I'd go ahead and do my post along with the music for the day.  Today's D&B song is "Passing Time" by Lynx & Hellrazor.  I'm not super familiar with Lynx's music outside of a couple of tracks on an old mix album, but from what I have heard from him, his music tends to lean on the downtempo side, with a touch of melencholy to go along with it.  "Passing Time" is a rather nice melody I discovered on the Fabriclive 68 mix album (mixed by Calibre...great album to check out).  I love the way the piano chords were used to good effect.

Today our musical guest is DJ Marky and S.P.Y with their song "Kinky Funky".  Both artist are well known in the D&B world for their solo efforts.  But they've also been known to team up and make hot tracks as well. Marky and S.P.Y. both hail from Brazil, and it shows in Kinky Funky.  It has that "Brazillian funk" (I don't if that's a real term, but that's what I'm calling it) written all over it.  It makes for a great listen on a sunny afternoon when you're crusin' down the freeway.

In the midst of trying to come up with things to post for this BaD month, I've been considering the idea of posting music from my favorite genre-- Drum & Bass (or D&B for short).  I know, I know...most of you probably don't bother with stuff outside of the occasional listen.  But I'm really desperate to have something daily to post because I'm too mentally inhibited to come up with something more substantial to write about-- at least at the moment.
