Oh that controller, ABACABB Blood Mode in Mortal Kombat. Also I think Down Up Left Left A Right Down was the debug mode. I do love the smaller 6 button controllers but the three buttons have the memories.
I tried a couple of balsa wood models but the pieces are too fragile, plus at the end they wanted you to cover the model in tissue paper which made no sense to me because I loved the exposed ribbing. In fact I think because of my wood P-51 model that became one of my favorite planes.
Everytime I go into Hobby Lobby I walk through their model kit aisle and debate on buying a model and some paint. One day.
It is interesting to just walk through there and see those planes up close. There was a trainer of one of the planes you can go into the cockpit, sit down, and play with the controls. It is amazing how cramped the insides of those planes are and how much of the guts of the plane are showing inside.
Love that Gilberto CD. I have a couple of songs sorted onto different playlists.
Model building was so much fun. I used to have problems with Air Craft Carriers. Those were a pain. I wish I would have kept them but I think they were tossed the minute I left for college.
That's interesting that the Genesis 3 has a different a/v plug. I always thought that model was cool beause of its size. We have the original Genesis with bottom CD drive but for some reason something is wrong with the CD portion and it won't power on.
Have you tried the Dreamcast homebrew Beats of Rage? It's not bad. I played the hell out of Streets of Rage on the Game Gear.
Combat Cars sounds like something I'd play, and yeah the d-pad for steering has always been a little funky especially after you play a modern racing game and then go back to those older games.
I was never a fan of PS Home, and I don't think I ever fired up the Playroom. It seems quite a few folks have finished R&C already. I own a handful of those games but I don't think I ever finished one. I might give the new R&C game a try a little later down the road.
Rally Racing is fun and you still have to use the racing lines but the fun part is seeing the directions of the course in advance like long straightaway, turn, jump ect. From my small window of playing online racing it seems like its a demo derby meets racing.
