Second Sight is so underrated and underappreciated! It's a phenomenal game and the story is what really puts it over the top. Pair that with Christopher Nolan? Oh yeah, that's an awesome idea 
This is definitely the best video game movie I've ever seen (though there are far too many I still need to watch). It's enjoyable to watch as a movie for everyone, not just those already invested in the franchise. But despite all the big talent and money behind it, I think the main reason this movie turned out so well is because Jordan Mechner worked on the story. No one knows what really makes a franchise special quite like its creator. I was sad they never made a sequel but maybe that's for the best.
I wonder why they didn't brand it as a Shadow Hearts game. Still, sounds like it's worth it if found for cheap.
Bummer you didn't get to go, man, especially since you've been a regular attendee. You'd think you'd be grandfathered in. And I always appreciate your take on things since you're not focused on the AAA games like most people. Why, I learned several new things reading this blog, like about Pac-Man Museum and the Castle of Illusion remake. So just hang in there and try again next year. At least you're going to PAX! My wife and I are hoping to make it to PAX East sometime. Boston isn't that far from Virginia...
I didn't find the first song all that relaxing, though it was a good song in its own right. I especially love Phendrana Drifts, but Metroid Prime is my favorite game so I'm a little biased lol. And props for the Baten Kaitos love. That game is sorely underrated (even though it does have atrocious voice acting lol)
I was surprised how the cast of characters just kept going on and on lol. Lots to work with here, man. Move it to production now! 
Have you seen Mad Men? I've watched most of the first season and I'm intrigued but not sure how I really feel about it. I'm curious for your thoughts on it, if you have any.
Extra bit of trivia: The original FarCry was made by Crytek, who then left the series to work on Crysis, which gives you the same open-ended approach to its gameplay (the first Crysis at least). It's kind of like FarCry: Sci-Fi Edition.
Good buys all around. I'd like to get Lunar for the PSP, though I haven't worked through the other games I have for it yet lol
