I forgot about a few cases in OoT, was more thinking about WW, TP, and the 2D ones where I had no issues. But still, "designed by fucking retards who think it's okay to have one button do several things," is harsh for something which in Zelda's case, you describe as mildly annoying.

I've never once had an issue with this in Zelda. The series knows to keep the A button used for the slower parts: picking up things, reading signs, and talking to people. Plus, the A button can always be used with the targetting, to help avoid using it on the wrong object. That's how to use a context sensitive button right as opposed to your example when it's in the heat of battle.

Fair enough but I do think that GG ending now would be bad overall. The press is proving that they lack the honesty, integrity, and open mindedness we need to move gaming forward truly. I mean gaming forward to compliment GG less as not your shield does it and more as a counter to all this ugliness going on. Not to eliminate the movement, but just to remind people why we love gaming.

I feel that despite the damage done, the anti-GG side is the only one really doing it and unwilling to discuss things. There are exceptions on both sides, but as a whole the press seems desperate to force connections to misogyny that aren't a part of GG. GG may have influenced these people to say and do these sexist things, but it's more in the way Catcher in the Rye influenced John Lennon's death. Not the intention, just some nut who was already crazy and found an unrelated catalyst. I hate that real misogyny is happening, but also hate that the anti-GG's only defense is to lie about who is sexist because they have real issues they won't fix.

I do really like this idea though, but maybe for a different reason. Have it work with GG and remember even though this is a bad situation, it won't last forever and we should always look towards the future.

The thing that really pissed me off about this is how they didn't do anything to protect her once the threat came out. That the threat exists is bad enough, but they were allowing people to come to that thing armed. Sorry, but you have to take threats like that seriously. And whether the guy was serious or not, he won. And both she and GG lost.

Framerate absolutely matters for gameplay. That's why Call of Duty's controls are so highly praised, because it's one of the few shooters at 60 FPS. That's why Metal Gear Rising worked better than DmC last year, because action games like that almost need 60 FPS. It matters less for AC, but the gameplay absolutely is better at 60 FPS. It's just a matter of smoother, more fluid controls.

As for resolution, what you say is true, but beside the point. If Ubisoft just said their game was going to be 900p, there wouldn't be an issue. But they were one of the developers talking about how much graphics matter, how resolution matters, and all that stuff. So for them to say it doesn't now that giving the best image quality isn't convenient for them, yeah that's bullshit.
