I played Jeanne d'Arc earlier this year and really enjoyed it. Never heard of Athena though. Sounds like I'm not missing much lol
I've wanted to get Shadow Wars for a while now but I have yet to see a used copy of it and stores are still selling it for $20 new (at least the ones I've seen). I've heard good things and you're certainly adding to that. Hopefully I'll find it sometime soon...
I was watching all that opening stuff about tv and snapping and voice commands and I had to admit, it's some impressive tech and software...but I don't care. Never before have I been playing a game or watching a movie and thought, "If only I could skype my friend on the tv while watching!" Seriously, I just wanna play games. I am curious to know what he meant about dynamic achievements though.
Oh yeah, and terrible name, worse than Xbox 360 which I always thought was kind of silly. Microsoft is great at coming up with cool codenames and then botching the real name. How cool would it be if we were all playing our Microsoft Xenons today and were looking forward to Xbox Infinity?
I noticed there's a "smartcelt" on there. Is that you? You should post a link!
Cool beans. Yeah, I don't remember how I came across you on there but I've got you in my multitap.
I wrote about Nightshade almost exactly a year ago on 1UP. It's more of an overview rather than a review, so yours is much longer, but if you look at mine (click here!) you'll find a link to a very interesting article about Nightshade, why it didn't get a proper sequel, and why Shadowrun on the SNES (but not Genesis) is its spiritual successor. It also has an interview with the game's writer/director. Good stuff.
This is great news. Though I've never been as staunch on the issue as you are, I've definitely passed on buying games before because of the Pass. Hopefully those other companies reach the same conclusion soon. It'd be great to go into the next generation with our industry free of this malady.
I'm with you. I've had more than my fill of angsty speculation from the internet. I hope Microsoft gives us lots of cold hard facts tomorrow.
I had a busy weekend but certainly nothing like that. Glad you're okay. I just can't fathom having everything I own smashed and scattered around like that.
