With the big three companies--Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft--on the board with their new machines, it's time for people to pick sides and see who comes out on top. No matter which machine you're backing, it's worth looking back at how each company has handled their systems in the past. South Park: The Game Now Named South Park: The Stick of Truth?

The Xbox Live Marketplace seems to leak another.

A listing for South Park: The Game became visible yesterday on the Xbox Live Marketplace thanks to its supposed release date of May 5. However, the listing didn't feature the working title, but instead the name South Park: The Stick of Truth. Complete with correspoding box art, as well as screens that match Obsidian and THQ's latest work, it's likely the two titles are one in the same.

Call of Duty Coming to Vita

Guy Longworth of Sony spills the beans in a recent interview.

While the Call of Duty series tends to make its way to all of the available platforms, up until now, nothing has been formally announced for Sony's upcoming handheld system. Though Activision has still yet to make any sort of proper announcement of the game, an interview with Geoff Keighley on GameTrailers.com revealed that a title is indeed in the works. Guy Longworth, Senior Vice President for PlayStation Brand Marketing stated in passing that a Call of Duty title will release for the Vita this fall.

Eat Sleep Play Lays Off 20% of Staff, Jaffe Exits

Twisted Metal developer to pursue the mobile game market.

With the long awaited Twisted Metal set to hit store shelves next week, you’d think that developer Eat Sleep Play would be celebrating.  Instead the developer has laid off eight employees last week, reducing the staff to 26.

Bastion on Sale for 600 Microsoft Points

Plus other deals in the 12 Days of Xbox promotion.

Microsoft's Major Nelson announced today that for the next 12 days, there will be a daily deal on Xbox Live. Called the 12 Days of Xbox Deals, every day will bring a new deal on a different item. However, each deal will only last for one day. The first deal is 50% off Bastion. The Marketing Genius of Nintendo of America

Was there any real doubt that Xenoblade was coming stateside?

Last Friday, Nintendo of America announced that the Nintendo faithful and loyal supports of Operation Rainfall would be granted one of their longstanding wishes with the stateside release of heralded RPG Xenoblade Chronicles this upcoming April.  The news came at a precarious time for Nintendo. With Skyward Sword having been released this past month, Nintendo’s upcoming release schedule was looking just a little more than barren.

A Head Start to Nowhere

Why the premature 3DS launch has done nothing but bring problems for the future of the system.

When people said that the 3DS was just like the Virtual Boy, I laughed them off. Yeah, they both have a 3D gimmick, but neither is truly comparable… or at least that's what I thought. While the two may share some rudimentary similarities, they are similar because they both suffered extremely botched launches – the worst in Nintendo's history.

Nintendo Announces New Executive VP of Sales & Marketing

Taking the post once held by Reggie File-Aime and Cammie Dunaway, Scott Moffitt is being brought on "to drive continued growth for Nintendo hardware and software brands."

Nintendo of America announced today that Scott Moffitt will assume the role of Executive VP of Sales & Marketing, effective immediately. In this role, he will be reporting directly to Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aime, who also once held the same position.
