Just when you thought awards season was over...

Last month we announced our Game of the Year award winners by genre, platform and overall game of the year, but we weren’t through showcasing the best that 2011 had to offer.  With so many games deserving of the moniker Game of the Year we have decided to expand our awards ceremony into 2012 with the 2011 Supplemental Awards.  These awards seek to recognize games that excelled in a specific area whether it be through technical achievement, sheer enjoyability or utter disappointment.

Zen’s latest release is a good value for aspiring pinball wizards; just leave the 3D off!

You might have seen other pinball offerings from Zen; they are probably the most prominent creator of pinball video games out there right now on the iOS, Android, PSN, and XBOX Live Arcade platforms.  The four tables in Zen Pinball 3D all appear elsewhere, which shouldn’t really be an issue for most pinball fans, since mastering tables takes practice and repetition.  Zen’s latest package in the Nintendo 3DS eShop, Zen Pinball 3D, will satisfy those residual pinball yearnings.

Various pictures and videos possibly teasing new entry in the main series.

IGN is reporting that a strange website might be hinting at a new game in the Resident Evil series. Several photos and videos featuring graffitied walls and billboards have appeared at nohopeleft.com. A Biohazard symbol can be seen in some of the photos, as well as in one of the blog posts. Biohazard is the name of the Resident Evil series in Japan.

PIPA, SOPA, and saving moolah headline PB & Jason this time around.

Have you ever been on YouTube to see a message that a video has been removed to protect someone's intellectual property or prevent copyright prevention? Yes? Well, have you ever seen that message when trying to view a promotional trailer released specifically to be placed on YouTube by various members of the media? Doesn't that sound a little mind-numbing? The XBLA port has been reintroduced to the marketplace.

Doom was originally released for the Xbox Live Arcade on September 26, 2006. The title was a port of the original PC version and featured co-op, as well as multiplayer, along with all of the bells and whistles Xbox Live Arcade games get. Then, the game was delisted on September 24, 2010. This was most likely due to a licensing issue as Activision had released the port.
