I cannot believe the summer is almost over and autumn is almost upon us already! I have been MIA for a few months now again (seems to be a habit of mine) and I just had the sudden urge to post somewhat of an update to say “Hey world I am still kind of here”. I really have not had the time to honestly blog or I have been preoccupied with other things I am trying to finish up and push through or watch.

So what new and exciting things have been happening in my life you may be wonder?! Well I shall tell you!

Come this October/November we will be moving into a new apartment! I am so excited for this to happen already, I just want to get out of my current apartment pronto. With the move comes packing and cleaning out unwanted items/updating my lists of games we have! So I will finally have an excuse to get going on that since it’s been awhile from last updating them. There have been quite a few additions to the collection of games and movies and books/manga. I have no idea why but I always like to have a list to help me figure out if I already have it or not because it’s so easy to forget what I already own. Perfect example I ended up buying two of the same book and had no idea till last week. I bought the second copy months ago and never realized I already had it.  Also a great excuse selling some games and other items we no longer want. I can certainly post a list of what I am planning to get rid of before selling it elsewhere if anyone would be interested in buying them.

This place is a lot closer to my job as well, I currently do about 1 hour and 20 mins – 1 hour 30 mins, which is way more of a toll than I thought it would be. I have no idea how my fiancé pulled it off for as long as he did. My new commute will be 45 – 50 minutes, which is what I did for my other job when I travelled in the office and lived in Jersey. I took a test run leaving work to the new apartment for dropping off papers and I left about 4:20pm – I got there at about 5:17ish which that’s much nicer than 5:45-6pm, on rare occasion get back for 5:30. It honestly depends on the traffic and what time I get into work to leave.

It’s also a whole 300 square feet bigger than our currently place. We right now have 600 square feet total so it’s a lot more room and not so cramped feeling. The only thing we do lose on is kitchen space and the bedroom is a little bit smaller but we have a walking closet. Going to take a little thinking on where things are going to be going but I think I can pull it off!

I have had three new additions to our family…three beta fish: Maria, Ralse, and Draco. They certainly each have their own personalities…and they very much like people or food. I am still trying to determine why they run up to the front of the tank when we stare at them and sometimes just look to the top of the water…hmmm. They like to play the follow the finger game or the lets sway side to side game if you move side to side. No joke these fish will follow you and turn to face you as you shift side to side and follow your finger around the tank. We got them a 10 gallon tank to share and we put out own dividers in since we don’t want them ripping each other apart. They are some of the craziest and cutest fish ever. Ralse though while we were waiting for the 10 gallon tank to cycle through he got a little bored since we took away the stuff from their tanks plant wise to put in the other tank. Well he got a little stressed and ripped up his own tail, it made me very sad since he had a really gorgeous tail. But now it’s short and spiky looking. He must have wanted a new look.  Here is a picture of my babies (yes they are my babies) Maria is on the left, Ralse is in the middle and Draco is on the right.

My weight loss has been an up and down battle for the past 3 months. At the end of April I had lost 10lbs, which was awesome. During the month of May I kind of let it slip because friend’s wedding and camping and bachelorette party it was hard keeping track of everything and I thought it wouldn’t be too bad if I just kept it in check…I ended up gaining back 8 pounds, it was not fun seeing all that hard work I put into it get smashed. June I was starting to get things back on track but then in July it was a little bumpy because I was under a lot of stress from work and just everything going on from waiting to hear back from the apartment because of complications that happened and other unnecessary worries, I actually made myself sick from the amount of anxiety and stress I was putting on myself. July I really did not feel like doing anything at all and when I thought hey exercise will help my stress; I made it the most negative thing ever and just lacked any form of willingness to exert effort. Since it all went away around the end of July, I have been still going strong now with weight watchers – I just have not weighed myself for the past month to see if there’s progress – and  I have faith that I will get my working out  back on track as well!

TV Show wise I am on and off with things so I have no real set show I am watching. I honestly really haven’t been in the mood to watch a TV show, except for Prison Break. My fiancé turned it on Netflix one day and I have been hooked. Other than that it’s on and off from whatever is on Hulu/Netflix like America’s Got Talent, Mr. Robot, 500 Questions, Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl…etc.

Anime wise I have been watching a bit more, although it’s been dwindling as I have the urge to spend more time gaming. I am watching a great variety of shows from the summer line up, and I just have a lot still to catch up on. I also started One Piece, random urge to just start it up, I want to say I started the show up back at the end of May… I just broke the 300 episode mark last week. I have about I want to say 400+ more episodes till I am caught up. If I keep doing about 100 episodes a month I should be caught up by beginning of December possibly.

As for gaming, I have been quite the busy bee with getting some games completed. As you know or maybe know, I wanted to do an Adventure Log for Dragon Quest series and play through 1-9. I have finally completed the first game, finished it at level 20 I believe and was thrilled to be moving onto the next game! I started up Dragon Quest 2 right away after wards – It’s taken me a couple days but I am already nearing the end. I just have to do a few more levels worth of grinding and finally push through the Cave to Rhone to get to Hargon’s Castle.  My plan was to complete it this weekend but with some friends coming to visit I think that next week seems more reasonable. I want to try to get a few levels Friday night before they visit because they will be arriving late, or even try to possibly beat it if I am lucky.  Once I move onto the third game, I will start up the Adventure Log. I will have plenty to write about each week for the first two games as I progress through the third game. My hope by the time I finish up DQ2 logs, I will be done with the third game and can keep up the writing throughout the fourth game.

I also started up the Assassin’s Creed Series as well, so playing two big series side by side. I completed the first game, only really caring about getting through the story; I did not really worry too much about all the flags and Templars. I just wanted to get done with the game. I have started up the second one and I certainly like it so much better. It’s really how the first game should have been in my opinion. I am going for a 100% completion with the remainder of the series. I am planning to go back to the first game eventually to get the remainder of the items as well, but the other games seem better game mechanic wise that I would rather proceed with them first before returning.  I am planning to play through the DLC for them as well, so I really am trying to be as complete with them as possible!

On the side for games I have been playing So Many Me, it’s a fun cute puzzle game that I am having a lot of fun with so far. I also have been pushing through the dungeon siege series as well; I finished up the first game back in June and started up the DLC for the first one. I have not really been playing this one as much, which is why I made it my side series since I have been majorly focusing on the other two.

Other than what I have written here in my story book of a post, nothing else exciting going on besides the struggles of life.

I hope everyone here has been doing well! I have not had a chance to read through any other blogs yet and I am not sure I will get too because there’s a lot so I may pick and choose a few to read and comment on!

I hate how weight loss can be reversed so much more quickly than achieved.

I've had bad luck with pets, both cats and fish. I just have virtual pets now.

Finished Dragon Quest 1 at level 20? Oh that's cool. I got about half-way there when I stopped. I thought I was much farther from the end than I was. I want to go finish it now.

If you have a decent amount of health and MP over 120 you should be able to pull it off! I know it was a hit hit heal hit heal hit heal type pattern for me. Although it was also a lot of running from enemies too in the Drago castle and praying the game didn't troll you like it did for me a few times.

That game trolled me every time I played it. Got me angry that game.

It had it's love hate days with me too and I raged quit a few times lol. I was so angry this one time I was just about to get to the dragon lord and it was like oh hey here's a red dragon...oh it put you to sleep....you're never waking up and we'll let it kick your butt lol.

Like I said before, I just love the names of your fish.

Thanks! They have picked up hobbies. Ralse likes to mutilate himself when stressed. Hasn't done it since the one time though. And Draco likes gardening. Yes ripping up the plants in his side.

They need to live up to their names and take up opera.

I still need to finish DQ 1 and play 2 and 3. I've finished 4,5,6,8 and 9. Hope to play 7 some day too.

I have only ever finished 1 and 2 and 6. But I figure it fun to replay them and I'm timing myself for a site called howlongdoesit take...or something like that. And seeing how quick I go through and if I ever replay it how much faster I can do it.

Glad to see ya back.

I would personally have a bigger tank for the fish, but so cute you have them.

I'm advacing a bit more steadily with anime (as in, finally managed to finish a whole series this summer), but still at a slow pace. I'm still not sure if I want to delve into the lenghty madness of One Piece.

Well betta fish don't need a huge tank but we definitely have them a lot more room than the other tanks they were in. Also we aren't allowed to have over 10 gallon tanks....maybe when we move we can get a bigger one though. We tried to split the tank evenly for them as well and I was happy to see they didn't try to attack each other. But they are happy and loving it!

Yeah one piece you need to be in a mood of I need to watch as many episodes as possible in one day. I actually need to pick it up a bit I'm at 340ish now and trying to reach 400 soon.

Glad you finished a series though! I know I have an issue finished some up. I have a few on the back burner I need to get back to as well.
