Wait….has it seriously been three months since my last blog again??? Where does the time go?!

I keep telling myself, Ashley you’re going to start blogging again, and then it never happens because I usually have way too many things going on during the time I always tell myself that. So I am not saying it this time because I know the next month is going to be a mad house as well for me; but I am making it resolution to start next year and to finally get back to the groove of things.

So the Ashley world has been filled with new things the last three months that are pretty decently huge I will say.

Life:

We are FINALLY out of that hell-hole of an apartment and into a nicer new one. We got a second floor, one bedroom and it is 900sqft vs 600sqft and it is mold free! Yes MOLD FREE! You have no idea how excited I was AND we actually have windows! We no longer live in a dungeon and get to experience the sun! It was such a strange concept to get use to seeing sunlight pour into the living room.

The other big thing that came with the move was a PUPPY! Yup we got a puppy, he was 7 months old when we picked him up from the shelter, so he is about almost 9 months now. His name is Rocket and he’s a Hound/Lab mix, he was brought up from North Carolina. I call him my cute little brat because he can be cute but a real brat at the same time, certainly likes to be a stubborn head when we go outside. I love him to death though, he has become such a snuggle bug and gets so excited to see us when we come home. He still needs some work in the listening department – which I am planning on adult dog classes for him in January. He does listen to basic commands well, just mainly his leash walking and to leave things needs work. I gave him two nicknames: Booba and Boobops no idea why but I thought they were cute.

Also our beta fish: Ralse, Maria and Draco have sadly passed. Ralse though we have no idea how they heck he died. We had these dividers in our fish tank where they could not get over, under or around. One day Ralse was just gone, no idea where he went. Draco though looked a little bit full, so we thought he ate Ralse. The thing is we have no idea how he did it, so we are still baffled into his disappearance.

So this has literally been my entire September, October and November.

Work has been busy as well, I was put onto a project until the end of May 2016, and it’s been a very busy and hectic project. I love it though because it’s something different and it has an awesome group of people that are easy to get along with.

Exercise has fallen off my radar for the time being, moving messed up my schedule and at the moment I haven’t really found a decent schedule to work with since it seems like it’s been nonstop go see people or doing something else around the apartment. I still get some exercise from walking the puppy though because he loves the long walks, he loves going outside in general. Frost is apparently super interesting to him. But I figured once the holidays are over I’ll have less running around doing things and going to start up my exercise routine again.

Gaming:

On the game front! I FINALLY have a PS4! My fiancé and I were one of the crazy folks that went out on Thanksgiving night to go shopping. I will say though it certainly beat the lines that were probably out there on Friday. Took an hour to get out black Friday deals and we were happy. I got the Uncharted Collection Remastered PS4 along with these games for itL Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Limited edition, Until Dawn, Dragon Quest Heroes (waiting for Amazon to ship this to me), Final Fantasy Type Zero (waiting on Amazon to send me), Bloodborne (waiting on Amazon to send me), and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Limited Edition (waiting on Amazon to send me).

During my gaming purchase I also got a new gaming keyboard and mouse. I got the Logitech G-Series 700S mouse and the Orion Spark keyboard. They are amazing! Couldn’t pass them up for 50% off, I just wish the headsets were on sale too, but sadly they weren’t. So I am still stuck with my turtle beach one.

It’s quite sad but we already have more games on the PS4 than we do the Xbox One and we’ve had that a long longer…Although I am planning to get Rare Reply for the Xbox One for Christmas as a gift for my fiancé and Super Mario Maker for WiiU because he really wants that game.

Until Dawn has been completed twice so far and I just love this game. I invited a friend over because she really wanted to play it and we did a take turns on the chapters type of style. Our mission was to end everyone’s lives and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Granted we had an easy time with the earlier characters but near the end we were thinking can we really end them within the chapter?!?!? But we did it! Apparently on the trophies it’s very rare and only has a 5.6% on it. I went through again and saved all the boys, but planning another run through to save everyone, which is going to be a beast to do.

I also started up Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. I really like both games as well. Syndicate has a really nice feel of Assassin’s Creed 2 mixed with 4 in it and the characters are amazing. I love the dialogue banter between them along with the fact that you can switch between the two of them and play a different style of play: direct vs stealth. Once I get Dragon Quest Heroes though, well all other games are just gonna be put down for a few days haha.

I also have acquired Starcraft 2: Legacy of the void on PC. I am currently working my way through the Epilogue but stuck on a mission because I have to play Terran, and I hate playing as them. I am hoping to complete that soon though to add at least one final game to the 2015 complete list.

I have a to-do list of games I want to complete next year as well: complete Assassin’s Creed Series that I own (finish 2, along with other Ezio games, 3, finish 4 and finish Syndicate), complete Dragon Quest series (finish 2, 3-9), complete uncharted series (finish 1, 2&3), finish project X zone, finish Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon. That’s about it so far, we’ll see how that holds up for now but that’s what I am aiming to accomplish.

I picked up a new MMO as well: Blade and Soul by NCSoft. It’s in Beta right now but I like it so far, it’s a lot like Tera if you have ever played that. The only negative thing about it is that classes are limited to certain races only. Now the reason I got into this was because I randomly decided to log into Skype and a friend of mine back from my Rohan days was on and she was all holy cow you’re alive haha. It’s been years since I have talked to her and it brought back a wave of nostalgia. I really started to miss the Rohan days of everyone I met and fell out of touch with over time, kinda similar to how I feel some days when I see some old xbox friends online but we don’t really play anymore. Anyways she mentioned this MMO and how she is playing it and I figured why not, so when her and I finally are logged in at the same time, it’s going to be a lot of fun enjoying a game with an old friend once again.

Anime/TV:

Not watching many new shows just really trying to finish up some old ones that I need to complete as well to start cleaning up the extending list! Which I just added a new one to the list, Elementary. I will say I did pretty decent this month in finishing shows, completed 8 anime series within a week: Prison School, Brother’s Conflict, D-Frag, Gangsta, Junjou Romantica 3, Overlord and My Teen Romantic Comedy season 1 and 2. I have yet to finish any TV shows, it’s easier to finish a 24 minute episode vs a 43 minute episode quickly.

I hope everyone has been well! I went through some of the messages I had a replied to a couple of blogs. I forget how quickly the messages pile up when you’re MIA for awhile!

Welcome to the PS4 community! You can add me to PSN if you'd like! It has a social media aspect to it all. That's a pretty massive list of games to play! If you add PS+ thats even more games per month. I feel like Starcraft is too hardcore for me. It's one of those genres that I haven't explored yet and I think maybe I need to do that.

I've really only played Batman Arkham Knight, Tales of Zesteria and Samura Warriors 4-II, and now Bloodborne. It's a pretty impressive console and I love all the features it includes like letting you jump in and out of the main menu easily.

Hope you enjoy your new games!

I was waiting on Blade and Souls myself. Is it Open Beta or Closed Beta because I really want to play that.

Welcome back to blogging!

Thank ya! feels good to be back!

I actually really like the PS4 a lot more than the xbox one, but that's only because I have always been more of a Sony girl. I shall have to add you to it because I don't think I have you on there. so watch out for a friend request from DefectiveMID

Yeah it's a massive list but the DQ goal I had was for this past year that has not gotten completed at all lol. I only beat the first one and I am just about to beat the second one. But the other games are games I started but stopped in the middle of. So I am hoping it shouldn't be too long to complete them (wishful thinking).

I am VERY selective on RTS games as I am not super great at them but I do enjoy them every now and then.

I need to get Tales of Zestria, I am just waiting for it to drop in price a little as it did not go on sale. I want it for the PS4 but if Steam puts it on sale during their holiday sale I may get it for PC. I am loving my new games so far! I realllllly cannot wait till I get Dragon Quest Heroes since I have been DYING to play it!

Blade and Soul is closed beta BUT my friend game me a site to get a beta key https://na.alienwarearena.com/giveaways/blade-soul-closed-beta-3-key-giveaway. Then to download the game you need to go to the FAQS on the Blade and Soul site. You could also try to see if they will give you a key from the blade and soul site as well.

Hey Ashley! Actually, since we're friends elsewhere, I kind of know what you've been up to ;)

Expect to put at least 80 hours into Dragon Quest VII, but probably more. There's enough content in that game for at least two long-ass RPGs.

Haha yeah =)

I am completely expecting that since I know it’s a VERY text heavy game too and I want to try to complete as much of it as possible. I have seen a speed run for it and if the speed run takes 15 hours…..well yeah I figured dang that’s one big game! I'm looking forward to playing it though!!

You'll have a lot of fun with DQ VII. That was the first DQ game I played, and it really hooked me. I like the DQ franchise better than the FF franchise.

Those are a lot of games. It reminds me how many I want to go through. Too many.

Yeah it is! Most of them I have pretty much done or close to it or I about half way. I know Assassin’s Creed 2 I am right at the last guy to go after, DQ2 is all level grinding and then last boss, Dark Moon I am about half way through, Project X Zone….I have no idea how far I am as it seems the chapter never end! But I still have a lot of other games to complete as well, I figured that is a good start for me though and I am expecting other games to get thrown in there or put back on hold.

Hey! Looks like a lot has been going on. Congrats on the new place, and what sounds like a fun dog. Sorry about the fish. I think it may have jumped the barrier. I always tell folks that if you want to hit the Black Friday stuff on Thursday go an after after stores open. All the crazy folks who want to fight over TVs and cheap electronics will be gone. Usually spots like Target have stacks of consoles and games so they won't run out. Amazon had some really good deals on EA Steelbooks too. Anyways if you want I'm GoAztecs on PSN.

It certainly has been busy haha, thank you kindly! I love the new place soooo much more than out old place.

He is a very fun puppy, the way he plays is adorable and he does a cute little trot when he walks outside or when he's death killing one of his animal toys.

That is exactly what we did on Thursday we went an hour later and to a Best Buy that was in a less busy area so it was not as bad as it could have been.

I will be adding ya! Look for DefectiveMID

I wanted to buy my brother Until Dawn for xmas but he wanted Battlefront instead.  I think he'll regret it, I've heard bad things about it.

Sounds like you've been busy!  Nice to hear from you again!

Hopefully he buys Until Dawn when it goes down in price, because it's not really worth $60 but it has awesome replay value for sure!

That dog is adorable! Congrats!

And congrats on a PS4 too. Mine recently broke, but it was an early model so I wouldn't fret too much. Looks like you grabbed some great games too!
