I will say this though, I am disappointed by the new health system. 3's regenerating health was in my opinion a perfect fit for the series and one of the most interesting implementations of the concept.

This is my most wanted game of 2015, made sure that even if I'm still strapped for cash when it releases that I'd have enough to get it still. I'm pretty excited to see what Kojima would do with an open world since I have that same issue as you, but don't think he'd make those same compromises. Plus new tech could probably really take it to the next level. At the bare minimum, I'll still be talking about it over a decade later, something I can't say for anything that came out last year.
If you could pick any superhero to get an Arkham quality game, which hero would it be and what would the game be like?
Like I said, ride, not drive. Even if Joel wouldn't let her drive, she'd still think it's the coolest thing ever.
If you sir, are implying that Ellie could ride a dune buggy without thinking it is the coolest thing in the world, then you know NOTHING about The Last of Us.
Even though I enjoyed The Hobbit book, I have no interest in the trilogy. All three LotR movies bored me and I just want that small, whimsical adventure, not another giant trilogy to connect it to movies which I don't like. I understand LotR fans are all over it though, so I'm not going to throw a hissy fit though. There's people who don't like all of Marvel's continuity that makes me obsess over their movies and I have no interest in seeing them take a piss over something I love, so I won't do that to The Hobbit.
I'd rather they avoid Legendaries altogether. Plus Regigigas would just be a a block fest until the period was over then would dominate. Works well in the RPGs, wouldn't really translate to a fighting game.
Weavile actually packs quite the punch, but is really frail. Would make another good smaller Pokemon though. Lopunny I could see, but I really don't like that thing's design, regular or Mega. Empoleon could work, but Infernape I'd want to avoid. Hate that thing. The starters I'd go with are the original 3, Feraligatr, Blaziken, Sceptile, maybe Swampert, Empoleon, Chesnaught, and Greninja.
Wobuffet could actually work as a gimmick character. Have him only able to counter the other player's moves.
MGS2 and 4 I'm not sure how you'd respond to, but I think you'd at least be glad you played them. 2 especially is just so bizarre and unlike anything else. 3 does need some getting used to the controls, but once you do, it's fantastic. And you're right, Ground Zeroes has silky smooth controls and TPP will too.
