My free rental last night at red box was Deadpool for PS4. Must have had it because the movie comes out tomorrow.
Anyway, I love how much crap they've put in as far as the writing, and it really does capture Deadpool well as a character; I think it's an addictive run n' gun and/or slash game and I greatly enjoyed what I played.
A couple issues are that it is repetitive, with a lot of the minibosses being repeated even early on. It seems like it would be a short game with only ten levels, but alas I only had yesterday and today. It gets real choppy with the framerate in some cases and wall jumping feels virtually automated, but none of this has made the game unplayable and I haven't gotten bored yet. I'm looking forward to playing it more tonight.
Anyway, from the "2016 in American Television" list on Wikipedia, here are my most anticipated shows in 2016:
Awards Shows
Even if I didn't want to, I now teach a 101 media course, so I'll definitely catch Grammys and Oscars this month.
Shows Premiering 2016
I'm excited for NBA on ABC ... or I would be if my TV picked up any channels not CBS.
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee interests me; I like seeing Daily Show people
Good God I could not care less about Fuller House; WHY?!
If I had cartoon network, I'd check out Justice League, but it'll have to come to streaming for me to watch it
I've actually watched an episode and a half of Chelsea Handler's Netflix show. It's ok.
Otherwise I know too little about or am unable to watch new shows in 2016
Miniseries debuting 2016
Honestly, all of these interest me, it's just a matter of time or being able to watch on whatever channel
Television films and specials
Lol Sharknado 4; that was FAST
Programs changing networks
I get why it has to happen, but it sucks kids w PBS will be nine months behind HBO; such an odd place for a kids' show; when I looked into it they said it had a lot to do w kids being on their tablets and HBO being better optimized for that platform. I feel ... not the greatest about that.
Also, Smackdown was on SyFy?!
Programs returning in 2016
I'm curious about X-Files, which I believe is already airing new eps
I love game shows, so it's cool to see $10,000 Pyramid
I really need to watch the rest of original Arrested Development so I can watch the newer Netflix ones
Magic School Bus 360 is awesome, was not aware that was being brought back
Was not aware of a Gilmore Girls reboot. Never watched it cause seemed too "girly," but now I'm wondering if I'd like it.
Then Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack coming back
Milestone episodes in 2016
I'll probably only watch The Simpsons out of these, but holy shit I did not know they had 100th episodes for 2 Broke Girls already?! Is that because they just have more episodes a week? I did not realize they'd been around that long, or some other ones.
Programs ending in 2016
Weird to see Mythbusters and American Idol go, but I guess I can stream old eps of former and never really cared about the latter which has been replaced by stuff like The Voice (which I don't watch either)
New Seasons 2016 (Various sources)
I'm majorly excited for House of Cards to debut right around Super Tuesday in the midst of this batshit election season.
I would like to watch more Supergirl on CBS; I liked the debut, just haven't remembered to watch it; I'm also going to give The Flash a try on Netflix at some point
I've been watching season 1 of Better Call Saul on Netflix and it looks like one I want to keep watching
March looks to be a good month for me with my favorite Marvel TV show returning in Daredevil
Happy birthday month to me!
I'll be looking for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Kong in April
Then it's Orange is the New Black in June.
