Bing Image Mad Libz: After searching through the crap in my room, the amount of which could fill Glacier National Park twice over in paper alone, I finally found several things I was missing, one of them being my copy of Donkey Kong 64. How Jennifer Lopez and bridges enter into this, I have no idea, but Jlo can sleep under my bridge any time. I'll ... troll her socks off? I've been up since 7PM yesterday, shove your critiques of my writing.

Anyway, I was being literal when I said I did some Spring cleaning and found DK64. I also found OoT, my original Gameboy, my copy of Pokemon Pinball, a couple N64 memory cards, Metroid Prime: Hunters for DS, even a couple printouts from old K'Nex and Toy Story PC games, as well as a Carmen Sandiego "travel pass," my signed program from Blue Man Group when I saw them in Boston, and Fenway tickets from that same trip. Also, I have a shitload of EGMs, a Pac Man game (you drop tiny metal balls into a Pac Man mouth at the bottom you can move), and something called Brick Game: 9999 in 1 I got from going to some Muslim event that was similar to Easter, with our Syrian neighbors as a kid. By similar to Easter, I mean it was in Spring, there was a guy in a suit (though not a bunny suit, I forget what), and kids got gifts. No Game Boy Color or actual Game Boy games though, not that the latter would do much considering the battery acid in the thing has surfaced and solidified. Also found some of the missing parts to my CD packagings, mostly booklets and my 10,000 Days by Tool case, which I looked at for a few minutes, cause I actually never got the 3D effects going before. There's more I'm forgetting, but that's the gist; also been trying to organize things as I go.

I pretty much gave up after cleaning the first side of my room and a bit of my closet, partly because I was also being literal about being awake since 7PM yesterday, partly cause just looking at the pile of crap on the other side of my room is exhausting in and of itself. It's all in the corners, so I don't really see it when I walk in the room, but dear lord that's a lot of old paper and junk!

Oh right, the game. It's awesome from what I remember, really good-looking, fun to play, and jam-packed with content. I bought the expansion pack for N64 just to play it. In fact, the game's composer Grant Kirkhope, said that Donkey Kong 64 set a Guinness World Record for most collectibles in a game, in a recent let's play/interview. The man also set a world record of how much cheese can be put on a cracker in song form, which brings me to my first song of Just for Fun Friday

Now, the second

And finally, the reason God kills cats, homeless people, and brought extinction to the dinosaurs, according to the Almighty Word of old Family Guy episodes,

TGIF, I'm goin' to bed!

Glad you found your copy of Donkey Kong 64! Er,don't get consumed by The Great Heap! It happened to me once and I was forced to fight dust bunnies with nothing more than a dust pan and a fox tail. Most harrowing journey ever, man!

I'll be careful. Fairly certain Mordor is in that pile somewhere.

Beware the 8-ball of doom! It predicts all!

Bloodhound Gang is so funny. I love their songs. Divynls song was great, too. I remember messing around with the Tool CD case. I would cut out little images from game mags(two of them) and put them in there to make them 3D. It worked most of the time. I no longer have an N64,and that was a game I really liked. Goldeneye is the one I miss most.

I more or less put that Divynyls song as a joke, but I actually like it too. lol It helps it's funny.

I never got as into Goldeneye as most people. Multiplayer was great obviously, but I never got myself as far in single player and it was often frustrating to me as a kid. In that same "interview" I linked to, Kirkhope said they initially didn't want multiplayer. Hard to imagine a time when that was true, seems opposite now.

I never thought to do that with mag clippings, I just might lol.

I would have good memories of Donkey Kong 64, if not for the annoying memories of my older sister hitting the reset button every time she was losing. Ughhh, irritates me to this day.

I got upset towards the end of the game, but don't think I ever did that. What I'd do is just grumble to myself at a much lower volume than my older brother ever would at his games, but because he was so loud, I'd get called out on my parents for much smaller grumbling and just get more mad. Then if I got mad, I'd shut the game off and just go in the kitchen or outside, prompting my brother to yell at me for quitting. I guess he thought games were a metaphor for reality in some way, which I do not and never have.

My point is, I never restarted like your sister, but I do know how frustrating families can be when you just want to play a game. lol

DK64, damn that game had a ton of collectibles. I remember one time, I was in elementary school, my dad took me home and when I came home, I saw my brother holding a box to a new game he couldn't get working. It was DK64. He couldn't get it working because of the expansion pak, good thing the game came with one. It came with this tool thing that allowed you to take out the jumper pak, you know the thing that was were the expansion pak was supposed to go. We had a blast in multiplayer.

I once tried to attempt to collect every single thing, but everytime I got close my save file would delete itself. Not only that one but all of the save files. Sucks too and I never had a memory card for the thing. I want to go back one day and collect everything, but I know the game is going to dick move me and erase itself. That and I need to find my N64.

It was probably because you didn't have a memory card, so if you wanted another go, I'd say buy one or emulate. I hope you find your N64!

I actually found my Jumper Pak in my room yesterday, and I remember the excitement putting that Expansion Pak in. lol I was like, "oooh red top, these games are gonna look SO much better." I shouldn't have said I bought an expansion back, I knew it came with DK64, but I was too tired to edit this yesterday. lol

That DiVinyls song is much more pleasing to my ears than the DK64 song. I know that's not saying much, but still...

Ahh, come on. DK64 is cheesy fun. lol Of these, the only one I'd choose to listen to on any sort of regular basis is Bloodhound Gang, but the other two are good for a laugh.

I can't believe I lasted 1:38 into the DK Rap. lol That took every ounce of fortitude I had.

Why'd you listen to it, you could have saved yourself?! lol I wouldn't force you to.

Glad you found a bunch of your missing stuff. I need to get serious and start going through those last boxes.

Of the three songs, the DK Rap one was the least annoying, lol.

I need to get more serious myself, I fell into a few of the same "this box will hold all this crap and I won't care if it's in the corner" trap I always do yesterday. Luckily, today I'm more awake. How far that takes me is yet to be seen, but at least I got myself turned around!

As for the songs, Bloodhound Gang is the only one I'd listen to on a regular basis, other two I like for laughs mostly, but it's funny it's the rap you found the least annoying. lol
