St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, and it’s your lucky day!  Here’s some more game reviews I’ve recently written over at GamerDad.com.  Please click on the links and read as many as you can and maybe even post a ‘like’ or comment or two.  I’d appreciate it.  OK let’s begin!

Lil’ Gator Game (Switch)

Lil’ Gator loved to play with his big sister at a park on an island.  But when she went off to college, he didn’t get to spend time with her as much anymore.  Now she’s back on fall break, but she’s so busy with assignments that she can’t play.  So Lil’ Gator devises a plan to get her to want to play again.  He recruits all his animal friends to play a pretend video game (lots of Zelda references here) and build a giant RPG town out of the playground with characters and quests to go on.  Lil’ Gator Game is a 3-D platformer adventure game and I really enjoyed it.

Here Comes Niko! (Switch)

Niko is a girl who has run away from home but now she needs a job.  She applies for a position as a “Professional Friend” and her boss is a small frog with a necktie.  Together they’ll travel to little areas and help out others to earn enough money to travel to the next location in this 3D platformer.  The trailer and description say it’s a game for ‘tired people,’ but I don’t know what that means.  The game was made by the same folks who did A Hat in Time, but I actually think I enjoyed this game more.

Splatoon 3 amiibo

When Splatoon 3 came out, they had a line of amiibo figures to go with them.  I got them, so let’s take a look!  I just wish I had more time to play the game!

The Outbound Ghost (Switch)

A tragedy has struck the rural town of Outbound.  The water supply has mysteriously been poisoned, killing most of the people in the area.  And the rest of them have been picked off by a serial killer.  So now the whole place is a literal ghost town.  You play as a ghost who has lost their memory as you try to help people pass on and solve the mystery of what happened to the town.  The Outbound Ghost is a Paper Mario inspired RPG, with flat paper characters and battles with timed actions.  Unfortunately it’s also very dull.

Sissa’s Path (PS4)

Sissa is a cat who loves to play with her balls of yarn, as cats tend to do.  But she’s also very particular about where her yarn goes.  Help her push her balls of yarn into the correct spots in this puzzle game.  There’s a name for these types of games in Japan called Sokaban, and it reminds me of titles like Boxxle, Chip’s Challenge, or Adventures of Lolo.

Panda Punch (PS4)

A red panda’s home is rampaged by robots, but he escapes.  Unfortunately, his arm is wounded, but his father is a mechanic red panda and fashions his son a mechanical arm.  Now with a powerful metal punching fist, the red panda sets off to pummel the robots in this 2-D platformer.

Albacete Warrior (PS4)

Play as a ninja in Spain in this beat ‘em up featuring sprite based characters against 3-D backdrops.  Joining you is your faithful pet chicken Pepito and your sensei Paco.  It’s not very fun, and there are just way better games in this genre out there, like Shredder’s Revenge and Streets of Rage 4.

Shuttlecock-H (Switch)

This is a ‘bullet hell’ style shooter, except you don’t shoot.  Just avoid bullets.  All the while you collect hearts and unlock cute anime ladies with different outfits.  Not sure what those two things have to do with one another, but that’s what this game is.

And that’s all for now!  Thanks for reading my reviews and posting ‘likes’ and comments.  I really do appreciate it.  Happy St. Patrick’s Day and don’t forget to wear green!

I like the Small Fry amiibo.

What is a shmup with no shmup? I guess you don't want to be destracted from the eye candy models.

And the eye candy models aren't even that great.  It's like bad DeviantArt.  Maybe if they were pictures of Cammy, Leona Heidern, Ulala, or Reiko Nagase things would be different.  Ha ha, just joking!

The other day I saw several games in the Switch store labeled Hentai. Really? How did those get in there? They don't seem explicit but still. Weird.

Yeah I think I'll stay away from those.

Shuttlecock-H. Crazy what you can find on Switch these days. We aren't living in that weird era of Nintendo that came between Hitler's head exploding in Bionic Commando and Nintendo allowing Mortal Kombat II to be uncensored after the first game bombed on SNES.

The only Amiibo I have is Toon Link, which I got for Breath of the Wild. I kind of wouldn't mind getting a Fire Emblem Amiibo since I'm playing Fire Emblem Engage. I did get one of those Mario Kart Hot Wheels, though, since they're only 5 dollars apiece. I got Luigi.

There are tons of Fire Emblem amiibo.  I can't remember them all.  But I have them. :)

"Only" five dollars.  That's pretty expensive to me.  Although if I were a little kid right now, I'd be TOTALLY into those Mario Kart Hot Wheels toys.  They look SO COOL!  They even have a Rainbow Road track!

At Target I saw a bunch of toys based on the Mario movie.  My favorite was the plumbing van that folds out into a Polly Pocket style playset.  I didn't get it, though, because it was 20 bucks.  Now if it were a Pac-Man, Kirby, Animal Crossing, or Mega Man toy, yeah I would've spent that much.  But not for Mario.  If they made a Hot Wheels Mario Plumbling Van, I MIGHT get that, since I work in the plumbing section of a major hardware store.
