In case you haven’t noticed, Mario is pretty big right now.  Well, he’s always been big, but this year his new movie hit the billion dollar mark, and a Mario theme park just opened up at Universal Studios Hollywood.  So in this podcast, brother Jeff and I review the movie and I talk about my trip to Super Nintendo World!

A while back I posted a blog about my trip to Super Nintendo World, and the part in this podcast about this is pretty much me reading that blog near verbatim.  But I decided to put that in the podcast anyway in case anyone wants to hear about my trip, but not have to read about it.  But you should still read the blog if you want to see pictures!

And that’s all for now!  In the comments section, let me know what you think of the Mario movie and Super Nintendo World!  And don’t forget to Do the Mario!  Later!  --Cary

I really liked the Mario movie. I just wish I had seen it in 3D like I had wanted.

I told someone I know at work about your trip to Super Nintendo World. They were thrilled to hear about it. I want to go to that mushroom shaped restaurant.

I don't want to see the Mario movie in 3D.  But then, that's because I can't see 3D, being blind in one eye and all.

Do be sure to tell that someone you know at work about my podcast and picture blog about my trip to Super Nintendo World!

Right, sorry, I forgot about that.

Sure thing.

You don't have to be sorry!  I'm just glad they can do both.  There was a time that I was worried the 3D fad would take over in movies, but it really didn't.

3-D keeps trying to be a thing. In the 70s and 80s it was those red and blue glasses. In the late 00s, my dad got 3-D glasses for his PC. I had the Playstation 3-D display and of course a 3DS. There were also a few 3-D TVs, but they never took off. 3-D never really takes off when they try it, and the 3DS was probably the most successful attempt. My dad really loved 3-D, though.

I'm glad VR hasn't fully taken off yet also because I can't do most of that either.

Augmented reality is interesting to me. Just put on some normal glasses with the technology and you get something extra. VR has you wear that headset, yuk. You're totally gone from the real world. I don't like that.

I liked how they did augmented reality on the 3DS with those AR cards.

I'm sure I tried that.

I liked getting the giant sized AR card so I could take a picture of Mario that looked as big as me.

I'll have to dig those out again. I still have them.

I have them all, too, but I probably won't be digging them out again any time soon.
