I have always been a fan of the dualshock 2, but since I have spent a lot of time with my 360 recently...  I have to say the 360.

I'd have to go with the current 360 controller. I have big hands which often dwarf the Dual Shock 3,but I have adapted to it well. 360 controller is close to perfect for me.

Toss up between the original Playstation controller and the Dreamcast controller

The Dreamcast controller?! What the...my...oh...geeze... are you kidding me?! That big goofy thing with the EMU holder in the middle?! The only controller more awkward than that was the "Duke" Xbox controller which was clearly designed for a Sasquatch.

Yup I liked that controller. I had no problems with it

I'm partially kidding with my outrage. When I played the Dreamcast back in the early oughts, I don't remember ever complaining about it even when playing round after round of Quake III Arena. I was actually fascinated by the VMU (not the EMU I mistakenly referenced in my comment) and used it for Skies of Arcadia. I had the most fun though using the fishing rod controller for games like Sega Marine Fishing. However, the standard Dreamcast controller compared to today's controllers for the 360 and PS3  is a little bulky.

My only problem with the DreamCast controller was the cable placement. I felt as if the placement (Underneath the controller) restricted the controller and felt weird at times.

Yea, now that you mention it. I know what you mean.

No worries man, I can see why some folks didn't care for it, but I never had any problems with it. I agree with Yargz that the cord placement was just funky. I had to get a cord extender because when you would sit farther back, it would start to get annoying.

360 is good but I definitely like the GameCube controller a little more.

360 controller has been my favourite to date.

i never liked the game cube controller.  don't know why.  I loved the N64 controller, but it's kind of antiquated now.  i like the dual shock, but like xbox's triggers a lot.  My dream controller has yet to be built.

actually, I'm wrong.  the best controller is the Logitech wireless controller for PS2.  that's a badass controller.

PS2 dual shock. I don't like how the R2 and L2 on the PS3 controller are kind of curved under and have too much slack movement. Runner up would be the Gamecube controller. Worst would be original PS1 controller, d-pad was just stiff . runner up xbox, buttons too stiff, akward shape.

Honestley it is between the Atari Jaguar controller and the 360 controller.

That Jag controller is hilarious! Just look at that monstrosity! I might use it as a cutting board for cheese, but as a controler? No way!

Homelessrook

no it is not. It is like holding steering wheel. Sure poor button design but as far as comfort it is great.

KnightDriver

05/23/2013 at 02:55 PM

Ha ha. I've actually never had a Jaguar but would love to try it out. I'll take your word that it feels better than it looks.

no problem. lol. I could post a picture of me holding the controller.

I wanna play Tempest 2000 and Aliens Vs. Predator on it.

Homelessrook

I want the cd drive so I can play AvP myself. The game is around 140- 200 bucks. Well worth it because that was about the best game on the system other than DOOM, which I have.

Remember this guy? Yep, not him. I really like the Gamecube, 360, and Dualshock 2

I remember getting this with my Xbox and wondering just who Microsoft thought were going to play with this. Clearly it wasn't a human... which revives my thought that Microsoft was secretly designing a controller for their alien friends on Serpo. You know, the ones with giant frog hands.

Robot vomit is the ultimate in comfort for those with smaller hands. I vote Gamecube.

I have the silver one but I originally had the purple one. I've always wanted one of those orange ones, I've seen them on Amazon and Ebay before. I love how comfortably the GC controller fits in my hands, and as weird as it looks it's incredibly sturdy and solid despite being lightweight. I've dropped mine so many times and hit it on things and it's never chipped, become loose feeling, cheap & plastic-y, and the buttons haven't become sticky.

My Gamecube console and its controller are the two most sturdy and reliable pieces of tech I have in my entire house.

My N64 is about as sturdy, except for its second controller (I think; haven't played in forever, but remember it being shit, which I think happened after my older brother got pissed at KI: Gold), and my only issue with my Gamecube one is sometimes up on the control stick won't do anything, I think cause sometimes I leave it at rest, not realizing the control stick is pointed up for long periods of time, but it's been working just fine lately.

Nintendo equipment in general is like the damn Energizer bunny though, it all just keeps going, even if you adopt at launch it seems. lol

Gamecube controller for me, I've never had a controller that felt so right in my hands and the button placement. Sure it could of used a better second analog stick and a second Z button but for me, that's the perfect controller. Plus it's very sturdy. I also like the 360 one because it feels like a GCN controller to me.

I like the SNES and PS2 controllers the best.

I'm probably gonna get trampled for saying this but...

Wii Tongue Out

But in all seriousness, I'll have to say the PS2 controller.

The Wii?! What the... oh phew. Yea, the PS2 controller ain't bad.

Nicoleb1989

Playstation controllers, ps1-ps3. It might be because I am just use to using them but their comfortable for me.

KnightDriver

I was playing the Wii last weekend and then my 3DS, but when I got back to picking up that Xbox 360 controller, I just smiled as I gripped it like you would a hockey stick or baseball bat before a faceoff or pitch. It felt just right as an extension of my body ready to manipulate a virtual world.

Gamecube controller is the best; it fit all the buttons onto it perfectly. And for the time, the SNES controller was revolutionary.

N64 for me, if it had a stick as smooth as X box's (seriously how wrong does that sound!) it would be the ultimate.

The Wiimote. What! Stop looking at me like that! Again!
