Just heard this from a friend on Facebook who was watching their conference. If I own my games for it (I need this confirmed beyond "plays used games" as per Microsoft's trickiness), I'm sold ... when a price drop happens, and I have the money to spend on consoles.

I will only have enough for one console at Christmas. It will be the PS4. For 400 bucks that is one hell of a console. See,Sony can learn from mistakes of the past!

$400 is my number for a new console. So far the PS4 is ahead in my mind.
I think, in the words of NSonic79, they are "curbstomping" the competition, at least if you are not swayed by Microsoft exclusives like Halo, etc. Honestly, if Killer Instinct is a One exclusive, I'm disappointed, cause I won't be able to play it. I'm definitely not buying a One now, unless they change course to follow Sony's lead.
I'm not so crazy about Halo anymore. I haven't even finished Halo 4 yet.
I am interested in this Crimson Skies reboot, however, but it's still not enought to sell me the system. I'm not sure what will be, but I'll know it when I see it.
Whoo! A console that learnt from it's past mistakes as opposed to trying to fuck everyone over! What a joy to see! I like Microsoft, but I don't see them making it to the next generation.
They apparently can change their DRM policies etc. at any time. If that's true, they better unfuck themselves quick.
Well good for Sony. I hope the best for them because I want some better games for my Vita and if the PS4 helps that then I am for it. I just will not buy a PS4.

Very tempted to buy day 1 at this price. In all reality i'll prob stick with the ps3 for another year until the ps4 gains steam. Exciting times though

The Xbox One could do $399...if not for the required Kinect packed in. I'm definitely liking that $100 price difference. Will I get one right away? Probably not. I've got a backlog of awesome games as it is and a distressingly light wallet, so I'll probably wait lol
I brought that up to a friend yesterday. I think MS could about face on their DRM-y crap, decide to release a Kinect-less set, and regain some traction. For now though, I'm definitely rooting for Sony.
Sony totally destroyed M$ at E3. I don't really plan on buying one, but it's nice to know that the option is there. Who wants a system that imposes so many restrictions and in the end will be nothing more than a useless brick? I'm curious to see what happens when these systems launch. I can hear the crickets surrounding the Xbone already lol.

Been hearing of Sony giving Microsoft a beat. I don't know if i'll get a PS4, but as far as I see, glad to see Sony didn't follow Microsoft rules and gave them a good slap to the face with that video.

Yeah, it's pretty clear to see which console is the one to own if you actually value the ownership games. And Sony didn't express that with a bunch of boring powerpoint slides this time!
I guess one setback for you would be the lack of PS3 backwards compatibility. Since you've missed out on all those games.
I'll either buy a first run PS3 that works, or just live. I could honestly care less about that at this point, I'm not that upset about skipping a generation. So yeah, PS4 all the way if I buy anything. lol
I was sold with their conference. I love how they dug the knife into microsoft over and over about the no restrictions. Hopefully getting it for my birthday!

My gut insticts tell me Microsoft will drop the price by the end of 2014. They pretty much have to if they wish to compete. Halo and COD fans alone cannot make it a huge success. Nor will fans of fantasy football leagues and The Price Is Right.
To be fair, apparently a lot of women aged 18-54 are really digging The Price is Right this year. I am absolutely certain all of them will want and not be put off by the policies of Xbox One.
And COD fanboys can go PS4. Halo fanboys on the other hand ... can go PS4 when it comes to PS4 like MGSV went to One.
It has been decided. the PS4 is awesome. That is all.
lol I guess so. Still waiting on buying one until after the holidays at least I think, but they made E3 a fun ride with that comeback.
