no, I only get the ones you can't help but get and the ones that luck provide me with.  Sealed

Nah. I usually glance through them before starting (if I remember lol) and will try to get as many as I can but I rarely go far out of my way for them. I have yet to get all the achievements or trophies in a game. I've considered trying for it on Dishonored though.

I used to be, but I don't care nowadays. If it's a game that I really love I might go for all the trophies provided the requirements aren't insane. I really could care less about achievements on Steam. Half the time those don't even work right lol.

I'm a total Achievement/Trophy hunter..

Granted, I won't bother with it if it's something that takes an addition 50+ hours of after-story gameplay, but I still collect what I can!

No. Most achievements/trophies are incredibly dull and require spamming the more boring parts of a game ad nauseam.

I'd like to be, but I can't. I don't have the time to play one title over and over just to make a number that means nothing go a little higher. I admit I get a sense of satisfaction when I complete all the achievements, but I think they should happen more naturally as you progress through the game than, like SanAn said, spamming boring parts ad nauseam.

The only two games I've ever gotten out of my way to collect all (or most of at least) of the trophies for were Portal 2 and (don't judge me) The Amazing Spider-Man.

Nope, I get achievements and trophies quite by accident. I don't go looking for them. The only way any others show up is if my son plays the game.

No, the only trophies I normally get are the ones that Im lucky to nab going through a game. I dont care all that much for them.

Totally. We even did an episode of NWP about our sickness. I don't go out of the way to get all the points in a game, but when they are well done they are not only a great way to track progress, but they will often get me to play in a different way than I thought about originally.

Yes, but not on a first playthrough for most games. I want to experience the game without the distraction of achievements/trophies. Some games though, I pick up just to go for achievements/trophies and then I plan my playthrough carefully so I don't miss a reward.

I have never owned a console on which this could possibly be an issue ...

I'd love to say no but I only go for trophies and the eventual platinum if I had fun and enjoyed a game alot. The rest I could care less about. But I don't play the game just for the trophies, I first play the game to experience it and have fun. After I beat it I try to go for everything I missed. I haven't been too keen on achievement hunting on the 360, though I almost have them all on Nut's and Bolt's and collected all of them on both Banjo games.

If the achievements and trophies are fun to get, then I'll get them.

Only on occasion. there'll be moments I'll want to be an achievement/trophy hunter but I usually end up giving up when it becomes more of a burden than fun doing. I do regret not getting some achievements/trophies before the specific game's support died. That one lone Phantasy Star Universe will haunt me for years..l

What? stop looking at me like that!

For the most part no. I got some golds but not a single platinum yet. If its something that is a reasonable and fun challenge I will attempt it. But some are just either outragousley difficult or require hrs of grinding for kills or collecting. I don't care for those.

I went through a stage where I was, but games stopped being fun. NSonic79 said what I was thinking.

Yes, I will try to collect as many as I can on my first playthrough of a game, unless they are just impossible or would take an eternity. I will especially try on games I love.

Certain games it can help prove your worth, I always remember using the achievements to see if someone would make a good team mate on L4D but I pick and choose wisely.

It's a fool's game to get obsessed with chasing them. I take them as they come. Some are fun and easy to get. But I feel like it becomes more important than experiencing the game if you let it.
