So there's this thing called Movie Club that the Youtube channel SourceFed, or maybe it's SourceFedNerd, but anyway one of them does it after Philip Defranco stopped hosting them on his channel.

Anyway, I decided to post a review this week, since I convinced my mom to get a Netflix free month on her laptop, and her laptop also has a webcam etc. I plan on doing these reviews until I move into my new apartment and start working on my Master's, which is roughly around the time this will all stop being free, whether they use my videos or not, just for fun.

I don't know if they'll use it, cause the top part of my face was cropped off. Who knows, maybe that'll be what makes them use it, cause it looks so dumb. Frankly, I hate watching myself on camera, so I have no complaints, and I just want to say, eat your heart out Todd in the Shadows, I accidentally found a more efficient way to do this.

That's right buddy, I don't even need a hoodie

So, here's my review of Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

I just gotta say, I love Chuck Barris. I was a huge fan of the Gong Show, mainly because of how absolutely blasted out of his mind on drugs he always seemed. The dude would just bust out drooling in the middle of an episode, it was so surreal.

Great review, Joe. Seriously. Good stuff, man. It actually works that your face is obscured. You come across like the Unknown Comic from the Gong Show that way, so it feels appropriate. :D

I did not know that. Maybe his CIA stories are all drug-induced? Of course, I for one am willing to believe he's telling the truth, but I have no proof of that outside the fact he and this movie are suggesting that's the case.

I'm interested in him more now, I didn't really know much about him before his movies, I mostly just knew about the Dating Game and Newlywed Games, and even then, I've never really watched them, just knew they existed.

I didn't even think about the Unknown Comic. Gahh, that's so perfect, he's even one of the real people they interview at a point in the movie. And thanks for the compliments, I appreciate it! Smile

Good review! It is so hard to just talk about something on video. I always feel weird just talking outloud without someone to talk to!

You have no idea how many different times I tried to record myself doing this this morning. Well, actually now you do, cause the answer is ten. I have nerves made of cotton when it comes to recording myself.

Thanks for the compliment! It will serve my psyche well when I inevitably go to Youtube and see nothing but vitriol if people see it. lol

Yeah man. I find if you nail the intro you generally go well with the rest. My first video I did like 17 takes and wasn't happy with any of them. It's bloody difficult.

I think I saw this movie on netflix. I'm gonna check it out. I liked your review and thought your head being half chopped off was a nice touch.... wait. That didn't sound right at all lol. Surprised

Lol! I think it's a nice, weirdly fortunate touch as well, it's all good.

Thanks and yeah I thought it was interesting, so I'd recommend it. It has 3.3 stars on there.

At least if someone doesnt like the review...they can't come and get you because you did cleverly black out your face.  I would suggest wearing a mario mask next time!  hahahahah

You did alot better than I would've done, in both reveiw and video. But I have to admit I thought I was watching one of those interviews where they try to hide the person on camera to protect him from harm.

Still think Todd does it best but shoudl've kept that robocop helment from last year.

Huh, that's odd, because when they hide the person from harm in interviews, they black them out like Todd does in his videos, not what happened here ... but yeah, he should have kept his Robocop helmet. Was that from To Boldly Flee?

Great review on this film. I think Sam Rockwell was perfect for the role. He is such an oddball and he was playing one. You gave a really good synopsis of the movie without giving away spoilers. I may check it out on Netflix.
