Well fuck you, I was busy. Here's a cat picture.

I don't get it cause I never played Super Mario 3D World, but his Super Show's on Netflix,

which is probably not helping his case of frowny face.

What I read yesterday: Web page stuff, like maybe Facebook stories or something on Twitter related to news? Usually, I could at least say I read a Cracked or Buzzfeed article, but I don't recall doing so. I suppose I read my e-mail, including one I sent to my professor. I did bring home a Greek Mythology book and How To Read Literature Like a Professor, though.

It's simple, just buy books in tiny print, read with a magnifying glass, and voila, you have a Ph.D.!

Here's hoping Edith Hamiltoarangearrow knows how to write literature like a professor!

What I watched yesterday: I fell asleep watching South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut after watching several kids' shows from my childhood I was wondering if I'd actually want to watch and clearing my Netflix cue of stuff I added there I knew I wasn't going to watch, since I had hit the 500-shows-in-cue limit. I still have yet to see the movie all the way through. On the plus side, I did manage to cut my cue down to 375 and will probably reduce that even further. Seriously, if I knew there was a limit, I'd have been a lot more selective in the first place.

Granted, it's a much better problem to have than what my parents put up with via Time Warner

What I played yesterday: Honestly, this:

and this

The updated version, anyway

What? Look, as some of you know I'm trying to block myself from doing "fun" things on the Internet (including blogging and commenting here) until I've got my work done for the day for Lent. Well, I had my work done and Facebook games are just easier to set up and get going than anything else. I'm sorry, but it's true. Also, I like hearing about songs or movies I haven't seen before by playing a stupid quiz game. I just wish they'd add Video Game Pop ... or maybe Book Pop, with audio voiceovers you had to guess between.

About Lent: "But you're supposed to flat give something up for Lent, not half-and-half it" I hear no one say, cause I'm typing half-naked and alone in my childhood bedroom.

1) Yeah, I know, but I'm not actually Catholic anymore, so I'm making my own rules. Just like Jesus did when he stopped being Jewish.

Relevant image from the King James Edition of Google Images

2) My rules are based on my dad's philosophy on Lent, which is that you're supposed to give up something you want to go without once Lent is done with, not just go on some fad non-chocolate diet. He once used Lent to cold-turkey quit coffee and neither I nor my mom has ever seen him drink a cup in the morning, in my case since I've been alive, in her case since the Lenten season in which he went without coffee.

3) So yes, I grant you he cut something out completely, but in my case, I just don't have enough vices that a) I care about fixing or b) I think I'll actually still be without after Lent, so c) I think I can force myself to fuck around online after I'm done working as opposed to the opposite order in the name of self-betterment without giving anything up completely.

To be honest, there's just not enough I do wrong that I feel I need to give much of anything up. Now I could improve on things I do for sure, but giving up eating, sleeping, working out, working in my office, working on research for my Master's, enjoying time with friends and family etc. which is about all I really do would just seem backwards, so giving up non-essential websites until I get my work done it is. Might also add more volunteer work or something, I dunno.

What I listened to yesterday: Not much, really, so here's some music I added to http://ksauradio.com (stream its alt-rock goodness by clicking that link and let me know what you think!) recently:

How in the hell we didn't already have this is beyond me, but I got it on from my ITunes

And on my way here to Dallas from Nacogdoches, I listened to Sum 41's Chuck, Foster the People's Torches, and Rage Against the Machine's Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium once I lost radio signal. As for the radio station when it had signal while I was still in Nac, I gotta say my decision to put all Nickelback songs I could find and a couple others I thought were of questionable quality and/or format fitness into a non-playable folder in our playlist creator has done wonders for the quality of the station. I was jamming to it in the car and between that and my CDs, I made damn good time. Turned an almost 3 hour-drive into a less than 2 and a half hour one. Laughing

What I did personally: Fell off my work out and eating wagon hard due to unforeseen school workload and closure of the university's rec center and gym, so I gotta get back at it beginning tomorrow. I also may have shat on my own budget by going out to eat three days in a row, even if only for one small meal each time.

Well, I gotta wake up and help my parents ready the house for our relatives and hopefully work out in the ... well a few hours from now. See ya later.

But seriously, fuck you ... Arizona

I LOVE Greek Mythology. Been studying it my whole life.  there's so much to know.  Robert Graves has the best book.

Well, I have Edith Hamiltoarangearrow's book and I bet she could give Graves a run for his tombstone!

I don't have Netflix but with all the stuff on there, I don't doubt I'd hit that cue limit very easily.

It's certainly not hard to do.

I'm sorry, man. Yeah, that Eagle Eye Cherry song does that to me too. Nostalgia so strong it's painful.

Oh, you meant my lack of blogging on the ... wait, did I miss a day of blogging? I'm not even sure anymore.

Edith Hamilton's Mythology is one of the classics. It's the one we used for my AP English class many, many years ago, before your birth. You and Sidd make me feel old - I'd graduated from hgh school before you were even thought of.

Sidd?

And actually, I think it was supposed to be for my old high school AP English class, but I forget. Undecided

That Mario frowny face was totally me at one point while playing Borderlands 2.

Why?

Because I was getting so frustrated playing co-op when my friend was just running around at break neck speed killing everything while I was trying to figure out weapon and shield stats. When I looked up, everything was done in the mission and I had nothing to do.Frown

Ok so that pic of the Coloniel...is he now a member of Dragonball? I don't know why but that image in the background of the dog with the word Wi-Fi has me laughing.

I like to say I'm a casual Catholic so I also make up my own rules.

I remember being super-devout, then casual, now I'm just lapsed. lol

In the past I use to give up sex for Lent given how I wasn't having sex at all during that time. I think I actually got in trouble for writing that down in my giving up sheet at christian school. As if I was HAVING sex at that time. HA!

Didn't give anything up this year, unless you count my sanity.

I think that might be why they got onto you. No sacrifice, no wafers. lol
