You all tore that poll up yesterday. I'm guessing that these have been missed?
Anyway...
What is a game/franchise in which everyone raves about, yet you have yet to play/complete?
people are really into Monster Hunter and I don't really like them. Same with Uncharted. Not really into it. Haven't played Borderlands either.
Tales, Silent Hill, Deception, Kingdom Hearts, Borderlands, Monster Hunter, Pokemon, The Sims, Call of Duty, Gran Turismo, Battlefield, Diablo, Professor Layton, Hitman, and I'm sure there are many others. 
Monster Hunter, Diablo, Resident Evil, Uncharted games, Far Cry games, and all the Pokemon after Red & Green.
VII is the only Final Fantasy game I've ever beat, got sidetracked or (more often) bored with the rest I've played. Hoping when I get around to X and XII that'll change things. Monster Hunter, Beyond Good and Evil, and Ni No Kuni would also fit this.
Every single Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy game. Doesn't really bother me either.
Tomb Raider.
scratch that. It is half off on the PSN so I may get around to it.
The 3D entries of the GTA series.
Bioshock Infinite, The Last Of Us, Ni No Kuni.... really there are way too many to list here.
Any JRPG aside from Pokemon, Final Fantasy X, Golden Sun or Paper Mario. Technically, I also watched my friend play Super Mario RPG and rented Earthbound once, as I did with FFX, but I never got very far past the first screen.
I envy people who genuinely enjoy JRPGs, because aside from the turn-based battle system and random encounters, which I tend to find annoying, they seem to have a lot going for them. Of course, I genuinely enjoyed Paper Mario and Pokemon to some degree, though I never completed either; only ever played Blue as a kid; and think I might like Stick of Truth for many of the same reasons I liked Paper Mario.
I have never played any Starcraft or Civilization games because I suck at RTS.
I want to get to a Punch Out! game, but just never come across any for some reason.
Finally, a lot of things people raved about last gen I have yet to play, due to not having a 360, PS3, or Wii, or any handhelds past the DS, but I'm slowly making up for that with Steam games on this new laptop I bought last summer. It's an ASUS K55N-DB81 and runs games more smoothly than expected.
Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. 
Just not enough time in the world to dig in.
Still haven't finished the Mass Effect series or played Elder Scrolls V.
I have so many games left unfinished that I don't even know where to start.
Elder Scrolls, Monster Hunter, Professor Layton, Dragon Age...a bunch more lol
The Legend of Zelda franchise - Haven't completed a single game in the series, not even the NES one. I get too bored with them. I don't care much for them either.
Metroid franchise - see above
Fallout franchise - Started playing, just not my type of games. Don't care for the series.
To complete:
Knights of the Old Republic
Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3
No idea why I won't finish them.
Star wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I own the first and second games on the Original Xbox and for the life of me I can't get into them, despite how good the series is and how much of a Star Wars fan I am.
