I'm going for a female thief build. Yes, the female is important, because I know I haven';t seen all of the female specific armours in this game.

I should have known about this? I might make a female too now. I actually was going to try a magic build because I normally tank and don't use magic. 

Magic is quite fun, but it also makes the game quite easy. Yes, it's not a solution to every problem, but it can make some areas extremely trivial. Also, I feel like we need to tell anyone new to this game to get the thief's ring. It is necessary for the 4th world. Also, if you're having difficulty, there is a sword in 4-1 that is really helpful in the early game and basically counts as this games "Drake Sword"

And due to the 'difficulty' of this game, I'm thinking of making a Forum Thread specifically for Demon's Souls Game Club run-through so us 'experienced' vets can offer assistance to people who are going through this game for the first time.

Also; I wrote up a massive outline for AsRealAsItGets, so that should point people in the right direction, hopefully..

Yeah, I want to help them, but there's some things I don't want to spoil as well. For instance, finding out how to defeat the fools idol is cool, as is finding out what Yurt does. Although I feel like Yurt could be a special case, because he could potentially fuck your game up if you don't know about him.

Where is the thief's ring?  Is that near Ostrava?  If so I may have missed it.

Yeah it's in 1-1 you have to roll off the stairs over the gaurd rail.

I might do a Dex or Magic build? Hmm...

Considering that Demon's Souls is the only game I have yet to do so in, this is the perfect time to make it happen! I have a feeling that the Item Burden is going to be troublesome though..

I've got a male Royal that I'm going to use.

Call me a wimp if you like lol.  I've been following the most commonly suggested run of the game, ie: 1-1, 1-2, 2-1 and I'm currently getting my ass whipped by Cthulu guards in 3-1.

Oh, what I wouldn't give for a shield that blocks magic this early in the game!

I'm going the 'community' way as well just so I can relate easier to item locations.

After a while, all three games start melding together.

i doubled back and grabbed the Thief Ring.  I'm 3 bosses deep, so I think I've got a head start...gonna get back into it manana.  

I can't help myself...Persona 4 is CALLING me..plus I finally got a PSP charger...

I honestly have no clue......i havent even been able to start up the game to try it out. I guess ill report back as soon as i know. I typically go for archer/magic types mostly.

I find that bow-builds are really tough in Souls.

I haven't fired it up yet. I downloaded it yesterday but I got caught up in some tablet games. I'll start it up tonight and report back.

I did a Knight. I spent some time customizing my character, trying to make him look like me. I forgot how detailed you could fiddle with your look. Not sure it matters though as a Knight because he's always behind a helmet. I was strongly tempted to go magic but I figured I'd star with the Knight. Maybe next week I'll try out a different build.
