RGIII is the best QB and Steam purchases

After today, not only can the Green Bay Packers clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Tampa Bay Bucaneers, but the Dallas Cowboys can clinch a division title with a win over the Colts tomorrow. My prediction is both will be hard fought games (the former despite low public expectations for the Bucs, the latter despite low expectations of the Cowboys), but both my teams will win. We'll know in a few hours.

Thank you Redskins!

As for gaming news, just bought Rage and Blazblue on the holiday sale with some Steam Wallet money courtesy my friend and former boss, Robbie who writes for analogaddiction.org. Don't worry, I bought him a Samus amiibo in return.

I'm currently eyeing a $7.49 copy of Ducktales Remastered, but also wondering if I should hold out for a sale on Shovel Knight. I only have $10 of the $20 in my Steam Wallet left, and usually like to get below-$5 titles when sales happen.

What are you up to?

Shovel Knight is better than the remastered duck tales, trust me.

As for me? Just finished MGS Ground Zeroes. Playing Spintires and Skyrim (again) atm. Oh and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC because there's a new mod out for it, and that game is awesome.

How was Ground Zero? When does MGSV proper come out again? What is Spintires? I never played STALKER.Is that stealth-action?

And yeah, as someone who has zero nostalgia for NES Duck Tales; though I loved the show; I'm thinking shovel knight is more my speed as well.

STALKER is one of my favourite games of all time. Think Fallout but with less RPG and more fps. Also more immersive. You have to eat and drink to survive. There are anomalies you have to watch out for. And the game is just all around more depressing being set in Chernobyl and all.

Spintires is a simulator game where you drive big trucks through mud and try not to get bogged. It sounds dull, but it's challenging and quite addictive.

I enjoyed MGS Ground Zeroes. I picked it up for 5 bucks and thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. A lot. It's made me really look forward to MGSV much more than previously. It's also really well optimised for pc. And MGSV comes out next year sometime. I don't think it has a proper release date.

STALKER does sound awesome.

Shovel Knight is a REALLY good game.  BUT, I loved DuckTales Remastered a lot.  If it weren't for Animal Crossing: New Leaf, DuckTales Remastered might've been my Game of the Year for 2013.  How much did you like the DuckTales TV show and NES game?  If the answer is 'a lot' then you need to download DuckTales Remastered.  Hopefully you can get Shovel Knight, too, as that is great also.

I haven't played the original game, but what I've payed of 2 online is good, albeit a bit hard to control with a keyboard (played Duck Tales 2 NES via nintendo8.com). And I liked the TV show, but it was never really my favorite. So that's part of why I'd take Shovel Knight over it.

I need to get Shovel Knight but I can wait on that until I can get it for a fiver

I feel about the same.

Hold out for Shovel knight if you can.  I played Ducktales Remastered, and while it's a good game for sure, theres much more to be said for SK.  I didn't come anywhere close to finishing SK but the few worlds I completed left me with a very high opinion of it.

Yeah, I've heard Remastered is short, whereas I already know SK has tons of extra content thanks to Game Grumps.

So great you got BlazBlue. It's a bit hard to get into, but still excellent once you start to play it more. I also dig the story, but that would depend on you by how much you tolerate anime tropes.

I've been spending bits on the sales. I bought two days ago Escape Goat and Batman: Arkham Asylum and just two hours ago I grabbed The Binding of Isaac and a shmup called Astebreed. I may spend a bit more in the next few days, but also keeping my wallet in check.

Guilty Gear X2 was one of my favorite PS2 games, so I will like BlazBlue I think.

And yeah, I am loving these sales, but I want to save my wallet for certain games.

Dallas wins big, Eagle lose big. What else is new.

Sorry, man. The good news is, the Eagles can be a lot better next year and maybe even be Super Bowl bound if they fix that secondary and Foles comes back in at QB.

Right now I just don't give a damn about football. The Flyers hockey team on the other hand. . .

are 13-14-6, while my Stars are 14-13-5. Very close records.

Oh darn. Not again!

Hahaha don't worry, I don't follow hockey all that closely. I'll know how the Stars are doing, but I hardly know anything about the other teams. They're pretty low in the standings anyway.

I used to follow hockey, but now only a little bit. A friend of mine tried to get me into soccer, but for the life of me, I can't see the excitement in that sport.

I got into it for the World Cup this year, but I can't figure out the standings well enough to care. Similar to my problem with college football, where the standings are too subjective.

College football. So many teams. If I'd gone to a big sports school though, I guess I'd be a fan of my team and follow them.

Oh I follow Lumberjack football and basketball closely enough, but I know what you mean.

Just got Castle Crashers for $1.49 on Steam. Also decided to get Freedom Planet and Shantae: Risky's Revenge since they were also on sale.  Might get Rocket Knight as well.

Shantae is one I've been wanting to play, but I kinda want to hold out for the physical version. If I can't, $9.99 full price isn't too bad, really.

Got me. I don't play Steam or PC titles. Moreso after seeing what Steam did in reguards to Hatred on their Greenlight service...

I still can't believe the Raiders messed everything up and won games to knock themselves out of a number 1 pick. I don't know much about the Ducktails remaster but I do see a lot of it at GameStop, and maybe one day I'll pick up a copy.

I think I have a copy of Blazblue...or maybe I thought about buying it. I should check.
