Rayman Origins vs. Rayman Legends

Which one is better? I'm eyeing and will probably buy Origins before the sale is up on Jan. 2, but which one do you think is better? May hold out to see if Legends goes on sale and get it instead if so.

In other news, I'm disappointed in the Dallas Cowboys ... for not pitching a shutout. All you could do was 42-7 at home?! Boooo! Just kidding obviously. Between Mavericks, Stars, and Cowboys, this was a good pre-Christmas weekend for Dallas sports fans like myself. And Green Bay got in the playoffs, so that was a nice bonus. Laughing

I'd never seen a hockey shootout before the Stars win tonight after overtime, but I have to say, I'm a fan. It's a neat looking mix of grace and power.

Yes I know the Rangers aren't playing right now.

But Russel Wilson is, and for some reason they have him on a weird draft? I don't get it.

I haven't played Legends, but honestly, to get acostumed to the mechanics and also enjoy a damn excellent game on its own, get Origins first.

I will if Legends doesn't go on sale.

Both games look and sound incredible. I totally suck at platformers though. Got like one hour into Origins before controller throwing started again.

I think we swapped how much we suck on JRPGs vs. Platformers. lol

It really pains me too, because I love the art design on those Rayman games so much. I just want to get them again and again.

Again ... we totally swapped on JRPG and platforming love. I always fell for buying or renting JRPGs cause I loved the graphics so much, only to realize I suck at them. lol

I reviewed Rayman Legends a year or so ago.  It had some great music themed platform rhythm levels that they could've made a whole game out of.  And the play control was more responsive than most Mario games.  Someday I'll have to tell you a funny story about Rayman and me at E3.

Both are good but Legends is better. I lucked out last year and found Legends for $14.77 at a Walmart Boxing day sale.

and if there's any doubt, read Nick's review.

Both are great games, but Legends has the edge because it also features 60 remastered Origins levels in HD.

That might be why it won't go on sale though ... we'll see. lol

If ur gonna play alone origins is a good start, if ur gonna coop with someone legends. Coop in origins isn't the best especially compared legends.

I tend to play single player anyway.

You cannot go wrong with either Oranges or Legumes.  That is a fact, but like other people said, Legumes is the better game.

Legumes? You eatin' some dry fruit there? lol

Rayman Legends is the best platforming game of this generation. Or last generation. Whatever the fuck generation is what is happening...

I am thinking of holding out on some of the games I only kinda want and getting Legends for a bit over $20 though.

You probably bought one of them so I'm going to say Yay for your purchase of Origins/Legends! I can't remember which one I played but I'm going to say it isn't bad.

It's always a good feeling when the teams you root for go on winning streaks at the same time. Good stuff!

Can't say for I've never played any of them. I'm still stuck on the series with the Rabbids involved.

I've never played the Rabbids games.
