Played some Rayman Legends and Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-  yesterday.

Legends is getting a lot better. I'm not going to lie, I was getting a bit bored with those initial levels, which is partly my fault for replaying them over and over to get the gold trophy and all Teensies. But the game also seems to become way more interesting graphically once you get to the dragon boss and start playing the Toad Story levels. Also, I see myself replaying that Castle of Rock level. I love platforming and rythm-action, so the mix of the two and the way it was done ... NOW I'm seeing why people love this game so much.

-SIGN- is fun, but I suck at entering a lot of the combos in the challenge mode and I seriously doubt I would remember them to begin with. I'll just have to stick with using either Sol or Ky. I did get pretty far in Aracde mode with I-No and I want to beat Arcade with all the characters, but sometimes I just don't feel like continuing. I played a few player matches online and kept getting SO close to winning, only to have my win record look abysmal. I have yet to win more than two rounds against online opponents. Beginner lobby my ass.

I think I might buy inFamous Second Son. It looks really pretty.

I really should give Rayman a try this weekend. inFamous Second Son is a lot of fun. I think inFamous First Light was a PS+ freebie which is like the side story of one of the characters in Second Son.

Yeah, Blake said Last of Us is the prettiest game he's seen on PS4, but to me inFamous Second Son looks better in trailers.

Rayman is good, but I'd get it on sale.

I thought I owned it on the 360 but it turns out I own Rayman Origins. I wish I would have bought Legends when it sat on the clearance endcap for a bit. Hopefully I can find a copy at GameStop during a B2G1

Oddly enough, I own Origins on Steam but I haven't played it yet. Legends gives you remastered Origins levels too.

I managed to get Legends the Christmas after it came out for $14.77 at Walmart. I would have paid twice that easily and been happy.

I dunno. I wouldn't have paid $60, though it is a good game so far. I'm talking from the perspective of someone who has only completed the first world though. I need to just get through the levels now and worrying about getting everything in them later. I'm making it too tedious with how I'm playing it.

Yeah 60 is way off but I won't pay 60 for very much anymore. I usually wait until they drop below $30 before buying. Then again Xenoblade Chronicles was well worth the 60 bucks I paid for it and I'd buy it again if I could.

Those Guilty Gear games are hardcore and super technical. I like playing fighting games, but don't really mess with the online portions so much anymore. It can be completely humiliating sometimes. It's fun when your drunk and don't care though lol. Laughing

It would be more fun to play against people I know and could talk to.

Yeah. I had a friend on PSN I used to play Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix with all the time. He was better than me, but it didn't matter. We always had a blast.

I think they could make a whole game out of the music levels in Rayman Legends.  Such a good idea.

I would love that. They're my favorite levels in the game.

Very interesting your reasoning for your dislike of the "graphics whore" term. I wouldn't say I agree, as much as I found the article interesting. I consider graphics more of a secondary, but I do admit that excellent graphics can make some games stand out more and create an identity.

I would play Legends, but I would like to finish Origins first. If Origings is already one of my favorite 2D plataformers, then oh boy i'm excited for Legends.

I wasn't saying they're a primary concern of video games, just that no one should be labelled for wanting their games to be pretty. I own plenty of SNES-looking games on Steam, it doesn't mean I'd be happy if that's all PS4 gave me.

I need to play Origins.

Those recent Rayman games are so beautiful and have such great sound. I really, really suck at them though.

It depends on the level for me.
