PS2 Done?

Posted on 03/08/2026 at 08:30 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Puzzle Fighter is one of my top 3 favorite puzzle games, right alongside Puzzle Bobble and plain ol' Tetris.

Okami was so good.  It was my GOTY back in 2006.

I loved those Taito collections.

Odin Sphere is awesome.  Have you ever played Dragon's Crown?

Hey if you ever get a Switch 2, you might want to stay away from Pokemon Pokopia.  It's HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!

A few hours away?  Yuck that's way too far.  I'm glad the one near me is only about 30-45 minutes away.

Again, this is another case where the GBA library was so good, it's easier for me to list games here I wasn't interested in.  I second the statements about Astro Boy: Omega Factor.  I'm not the biggest Treasure fan in the world, but this is one of few Treasure games I really like.

Master Chief was never a guest character in a Soul Calibur game, but I think many people tried to make him in the character creation mode.

The guest characters in Soul Calibur 2 were different depending on which console version you got.  PS2 got Heiachi, Xbox got Spawn, and GameCube got Link.  Of course Link was the best one to get.

In Soul Calibur 4, Star Wars characters Yoda and Darth Vader were guest characters along with a new one from one of the Star Wars games out at the time.

Soul Calibur 5 and 6 had guest characters from Assassin's Creed and The Witcher.

Well the 2nd and 3rd R&C games are WAY better than the first one.

Thanks for listening!  Yeah the museum in Animal Crossing is my favorite part of those games.  It's fun to see the bugs, fish, and fossils you've collected and donated on display.

Hey do you remember in the podcast how I said that there are aquariums around the US that are doing Animal Crossing tours?  And that I wished I could go to one?  Well a few days after we recorded that podcast, I found out that a Sea Life aquarium near where I live is doing one.  So I hope I can go to it before it ends in May (I'm sure I will).  I'll post some links with info belore, see if there's a Sea Life aquarium near you that's doing that, too!

Soul Calibur 2 is really good, but the best way to play it is on the GameCube so you can be Link!  The later Soul Calibur games (4, 5, and 6) are also great becasue you can make your own characters and it's fun to do so.

Klonoa 2 is one of my favorites on the PS2.  I wish Namco would bring this series back with a new game.

The R&C games on PS2 were some of the best 3D platformers of that generation.  Especially the 2nd and 3rd one.

Those Capcom collections are also cool.  I miss when companies would put tons of their games on collections ilke that.  At least Capcom still does that to a degree.

I want to try the Monster Hunter Stories games if I ever get the time. Did you know there's an anime cartoon of that?
