I was a giant asshole of a Gamecube fanboy when I was 11, but I get you. I'm currently playing last gen games on Steam on my laptop, cause I figured out I can and owned/own no last gen systems, but I'm with you on wanting a PS4. NSonic79 has a point about there being more IT knowledge required for running games on PC, and arguably more potential tech issues.
That 60-80% figure makes me feel inadequate, considering I got stuck in a couple rooms in the Portal demo. Of course, spatial puzzles are naturally not my thing, but I enjoyed Portal enough to buy it on sale, so I'll look into this.
Thanks for letting me know Iced Earth has a new album. They may be something I want to get on the station.
I don't have cable, so I hadn't seen that one until now. The song in the video is by Aloe Blacc, which makes more sense than what I thought, which is this:
And the clapping w/one hand line was a ref to this:
I was like "that's cool they're using 80s thrash to promote Beats by Dre but ... what?" lol
He could be used in a Free-Flow esque plumbing tutorial for actual companies?
I loved WOWS (favorite of 2013, though I technically saw it this Jan), but it did feel really long, and there were several criticisms of its length. I do disagree that the writing craft is as awful as you say it is, or that we learn nothing new of the characters scene to scene, but after arguing with so many people about the fact I dislike Man of Steel, I'm gonna leave you alone and let you hate it. Doesn't ruin my experience, and I could see how someone could legitimately be really turned off by it, and only view it as a surface level debauchery fest, even if I believe there's more to it.
Here's my problem with reading reviews of games I haven't played: you illustrate your problems very loud and clear, yet I still don't know if I'd consider these problems bothersome or not, whereas with a movie or book, I can at least get some idea without seeing or reading it, based on descriptions. Games just have to be experienced, though. So do the other media, if you want to have an informed opinion honestly, but games are so much more interactive that it's hard to relate how much or little I could relate to words said of them.
No, I am sure Super meat Boy will be fine, I just didn't realize I had Steam open, and Steam takes up PC resources I'd rather use towards other things when I'm not playing games on it.
You know what this reminds me of? Before the Wii release, there were Youtube videos where people would have images of say a football field and the image would change to match up with their perspective when they turned their heads.
I wonder what happened to that. It was different than what Oculus Rift does and required no goggles. Wonder what happened there, or if it was an editing trick.
