Good try Disney...

I see your point, but my point was also that Disney didn't fuck anything up for Marvel's movie, which is partly why I have faith they won't fuck up LucArts' property. Everyone was afraid of what they would do until Avengers came out, and most people wound up really liking it.

I'm not arguing whether or not anyone in this conversation will enjoy it, I just don't see them "Disneyfying" the franchise any more than they "Disneyfied" Avengers, and I don't see this trilogy not being successful is all.

As for the twenty-five years comment, I'm curious in genuine curiosity, non-dickish way what the last movie they produced in-house and you liked was. I disagree with you, but I was also born in 1990, so I'm not going to argue the point it's probably because I grew up with certain of their movies. lol

Another favor

I saw a story about this on SourceFed, and it does seem like you get a lot of bang for your buck. However, I am in the market for a new laptop. Is that a Chromebook in one of those photos? I am leaning towards a new Samsung Chromebook.

Thank you. It is a bit long, but a fun ride.

Honestly, while I'm not going to dispute the quality of these films until they release, I think they are basically sitting on a goldmine and are nowhere even close to that desperate.

VII is pretty much guaranteed to do well, based on the Star Wars title alone, plus the fact Disney (Avengers, one of the highest grossing movies of all time) and Abrams (new Star Trek movies are the highest grossing in the franchise) are attached, and the only way the next two after that don't make money is if that one is as poorly received as the prequels, which I really do not see happening.

Again, I'm not disputing quality yet, I might wind up thinking they suck (though I doubt that, too), but desperate for sales I do not think these films will be.

Good try Disney...

I have never given that much thought to Chinese gaming culture. Interesting blog.

Honestly, having skipped this generation, I remain pretty calm about all that you said, dudebro.

Excited for STRIDER!!

Posted on 07/26/2013 at 07:12 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Yeah, my English and Reading teachers would know about the books, and one of the officers may have read them, but I don't know if Strider is really enough of a household name to cause much dispute. He's no Gandalf, and while everyone was aware of the series, I'm sure, I've never gotten the impression that Tolkien is everyone's cup of tea, or that most adults would jump to Strider being an LotR character.

Actually, when the movies came out, my Reading teacher was confused when I said Strider was my favorite character, because she recognized the name Aragorn more readily. You're probably right though, one of them may have thought that was the reference before he explained it.

Sonic Adventure 2 is fun if you're Sonic or Shadow, but yeah, even back then it wasn't the best looking game, and the camera can be awkward; plus those godawful Rouge/Knuckles sections. But I have the Battle version for Gamecube and I still think it's a decent game.

I've always wanted to play Psychonauts.
