It is a very average beat 'em up, but I love the silly themes.  Also has great 'Engrish.'  Lines such as "This is a graveyard of you!" are great.  Never saw it in an arcade, though.

I'm so lucky I have had power and water this whole time!  I work in the plumbing department of a major hardware chain, and on the days I've been able to go to work, I've been dealing with nothing but horror stories of people's pipes bursting and power going out.  

And in other good news, guess who just got a beta test key for Guilty Gear Strive?

I reviewed one of these games back when I was at The Dallas Morning News.  I think it was the third one.  It had a Christmas level anyway.  It seemed all right.  Just standard 3-D platforming fare.  The voice quips were funny but got old the third time he repeated them.  I also played the first 2-D one at a 3DO demo station in a store before that, but they had the sound turned off so I didn't know Gex would talk the whole time.

I heard WayForward made this game.

This game may be cute, but it's BRUTALLY HARD!  And the game trolls you, too!  When my brother Jeff played it on this collection, he was bound and determined to beat it.  He played it for hours.  Apparently at one point you can take a different path, so Jeff took it.   He found himself in a sky level and when he beat it, an angel held the Kiwi in her arms and said he was in Heaven and can rest now.  Then he got a premature GAME OVER screen!  He was so mad at that, but we both laughed at it!  All that hard work and he didni't even get to save all his friends captured by that leopard seal!
