Gotta love the Internet's power to let anyone act like as much of an a$$wipe as they want with impunity, whether it's your whacked-out political views and prejudices or telling some anonymous female stranger exactly what you want to do with her! I'm with Macho. I don't use the headset unless I'm talking to people I know and like. I used to use headsets in public matches but got tired of all the nastiness coming from 20-something morons. And when you consider that most games only let you communicate with people on your team, that just reinforces the old saying, "With friends like this, who needs enemies?"

Yars' Revenge was my favorite 2600 game

I have the Atari and Activision collections on PS2, so I can actually play both of these games on PS3 (since mine is a 60-gigger). Still, it's not quite the same as playing them on a 2600, as you said to GH.

I kinda agree with this. At the end of the day, I prefer my PS3 to my PC as a gaming machine. A lot of it is because of all the games the PS3 has that I love that aren't on the PC, but I'd really rather just fire up my console and play even for those games that are on both platforms.

I was a PC gamer back in the early 90's but that was because I didn't have an NES or SNES. After the Ultima series died, though, I switched to the SNES from the PC, and haven't really had a burning desire to go back to the PC. And even when I do fire up Steam, I'm mostly playing console-like games like Ys instead of stuff like ArmA or The Witcher.

I know what I'd like: a game with an indie spirit and an AAA budget. :)

That said, most indie games are as derivative of other works as the AAA games, while not all big-budget games are bad. Ni no Kuni, a big-budget RPG, has been quite wonderful.

I will never spend a dime on microtransactions myself. I guess if the company wants to include them, they can, but I think liberally sprinkling your games with cash shops even if the content is not required to win would make even an AAA megabudget game like GTA look like tacky low-budget trash.

The PS3 Youtube app is pretty good. I have never had problems with it.

I think I told you this, but I had my Mad Catz memory cards on PS1 crap out while I was playing Valkyrie Profile and Final Fantasy IX. I bought Sony cards after that. That was a case of penny wise, pound foolish on my part.

I also lost all my Xbox 360 saves when my 360 got stolen, and I lost my PS3 saves when my PS3 YLODd.

I thought it was kind of odd that the Saturn's save memory was powered by a CR2032 myself. I bought a used Saturn a couple years ago and its battery was dead. I had to set the clock every time I turned it on, and if I wanted to save a game, I had to reset it and save it on the memory cartridge before I turned it off.

Second this one.

It'd be kind of interesting to see the Vectrex in action.
