I'd really like to play Kirby and the Forgotten Land soon because I so rarely play games in the actual year they release.

I've got ZAMN on my virtual Wii inside my Wii U and I've never gotten too far but I think that is because I've only played it co-op and I think it's probably more difficult that way. I love the sense of humor though. Maybe someday I'll work through it.
I have Shadow Wars! Still haven't *ahem* played it...
I love seeing these old ads but yeah, I don't remember the Zodiac either. What a strange ad. It's like the time Klonoa was advertised as a disease O_O
Mortal Kombat Special Forces?? That sounds like a made up game lol. *google google* So it does exist. It's a 3D action adventure game and apparently is quite bad O_O
We had a chain of game stores in Colorado when I was a kid called Game Force. Most of them went out of business in the early 2000s as GameStop stores became more common but I have a ton of good memories shopping at them. All the glass cases holding the games and little CRT TVs mounted on the walls to try the games before buying. Good times.
Your review is a vindication of my decision to get Attack of the Friday Monsters lol. I'm looking forward to playing it. And Pocket Card Jockey is so strange but so hard to put down. Like I said to KnightDriver, I wish they'd put out a compilation of Game Freak's not-Pokémon games. They're always so good!
Pocket Card Jockey is indeed a digital-only game. The 3DS store is still up but I don't think there is any way to add funds anymore. I really wish they'd release a compilation of Game Freak's not-Pokémon games, like this one and HarmoKnight and Drill Dozer. Pocket Card Jockey is very different but I really like it. It can be very intense!
There IS a physical edition of Wargroove. It's what I own! Looks like the PAL version is still quite affordable.
Oh man, that stinks. As a Vita owner, I understand the pain of buying memory for that thing. When rumors first surfaced of the Vita store shutting down, I bought a 32 GB card right away and I am glad I did. They really jumped in price when Sony made the news official. I can't quite fit all my stuff on there but it was a good chance to cull the digital collection of some PS+ games I will never actually play.
I hope you find something to replace it with. I'd love to do the jailbreak to use SD cards but I'm too worried about messing up my system. Fingers crossed my 32 GB card keeps working.
My wife often finds good stuff at Goodwill and other thrift stores.
I might have had that same Activision collection back in the day. Man, even in the late '90s those games felt so primitive!
These games sound very hit or miss but overall this is exactly what I'd want from a handheld like this: Weird little games that take risks that maybe wouldn't be viable on a bigger platform. It definitely sounds like there should be required "instructions" of some kind for every game but overall this sounds like a nice Monday diversion. Questy Chess and Lost Your Marbles in particular sound interesting to me.
