Well they aren't releasing any more cabinets this year. According to the catalog I have. But maybe next year if they still have the license.
I dunno, Gabbuchi and Solo weren't too bad. But yeah, nothing that'll be on my Game of the Year blog. Last game I put on that list was Penguin Wars.
Thanks for reading! See you all after PAX!
It's a good thing my birthday's in September.
I'll probably skip out on Astral Chain and FF8. I hope to review River City Girls. I've already got the special edition of Link's Awakening preordered. And the amiibo. That's the game I'm really looking forward to. I may get the new DQ game if I can play the entire thing in 16-bit. Whether or not I get it right away is another question.
I wonder if that Pengo game has a physical version. I like Pengo so much I may have to import it if it does.
I got that Defender ornament, along with a Bowser and Princess Peach ornament. In October, they're releasing Mario & Pihrana Plant ornaments, and I hope to get those then along with a DuckTales lunchbox ornament. Once I do and it gets closer to Christmas, I plan to write an article about them at GamerDad.com.
You know that Ori and the Blind Forest is coming to Switch? I don't know what Microsoft is thinking. Do they NOT want me to get an Xbox One? All the games I wanted for it are coming to the Switch, like Ori and Super Lucky's Tale. Only ones left are the Ori sequel, Rare Replay, and probably Psychonauts 2 on the Xbox One that I want to play.
Oh man, I've got all sorts of cool meetings set up already! I'm working on setting up a meeting with Double Fine right now to check out Psychonauts 2. And I've already got meetings set up with Inti Creates, who make a lot of 2-D Mega Man style action games. And XSEED is making a game called BurgerTime Party that I'm going to try out. I also have a meeting with the folks making a new The Dark Crystal game. I'm not interested in the game much, as it is a tactical strategy RPG, but I'll check out anything Jim Henson related.
But my biggest meeting is one evening while i'm there, I'm hoping to attend a party where they will be celebrating Tetris' 35th Anniversary! They'll have DJs playing Tetris music, and I MIGHT be able to meet the creator of Tetris in person! I hope I can do that!
So when you scan the yarn Yoshi while playing the game, another Yoshi will join you, so it's like playing the two player mode with one player.
On the map screen you may have noticed an amiibo hut. If you scan the yarn Yoshi in there, you'll be able to play as that color in the main game if you pick it.
Do you have any other amiibo figures? If so, and if they were released before or around the same time as the Yoshi's Woolly World game, you'll be able to get playable yarn Yoshi's who have the same pattern as that amiibo you scanned. There's nothing like playing the game as a Mega Man Yoshi!
Yeah Pawarumi is pretty hard, as those kinds of games tend to be.
