When you do a dive move and then hit the ground and can't move, it gets annoying.
I do agree with you on the slippery controls in Yooka-Laylee, though. That and having to wrestle with the camera angles is why I stopped right before the last boss.

Bailing on Okami? Oh no! Not my Game of the Year from 2006! I'd help you, but I haven't played Okami since, well, 2006. :)
I only read past the fourth Harry Potter book and then got tired of it. So I've only played the first LEGO Harry Potter game, too. I guess I'm not really a big Harry Potter fan. When I was a kid, I loved the Chronicles of Narnia books, though. There may be something wrong with me, but Harry Potter reminds me of Scooby Doo for some reason.
My main problem with A Hat in Time, aside from the stealth missions, was the controls. For example, you can do a dive move in the game, but when you land on the ground, you'll still be in the dive move pose and you can't move at all. You have to press the jump button to get back up on your feet. Why you couldn't just move by pressing the joystick is beyond me. That little quirk really caused some gameplay quibbles with me.
I enjoyed Yooka-Laylee at the beginning more than at the end. By the end of the game, I was getting a little impatient with it. I don't know if that's the game's fault or mine, as I may be getting more impatient with games as I get older. I dunno.
Yeah Mario Odyssey is the best of the recent crop of 3-D platformers. I'd like to play Super Lucky's Tale, but I don't have an Xbox One.
Be sure to read my SaGa 2 review so you know what you're getting into if you get the actual game.
That's one of the main problems I had with Romanacing SaGa 2 Remastered is that it's a digital game from a non-digital world. They don't provide you with good instructions because when this game was made, they didn't need to. You just read the instruction booklet to find out things like, how to add more members to your party and other basic gameplay details. It's very obtuse.
I'm kind of on the fence about the Street Fighter collection. I like the characters and have respect for the series, but I don't like all the games. Maybe if it had a price drop or was cheap at the start. I'll kind of keep an eye on it.
By the way, other announced games you can add to my list are Portal Bridge Constructor and Detective Pikachu.
Shantae and the Pirates Curse is probably my second favorite Shantae game, after the first one. I don't like using the term Metroidvania either. Not everyone knows what that means. I may compare and say the game is like Metroid, but that's about it, and only in certain contexts.
That Zwei game looks interesting. Falcom is awesome. If it ever came to consoles I would pick it up right away. They should've called the sequel Zwei Zwei. :)
So the only thing I know about Nova is that he's in some of the later Marvel vs. Capcom games. I think he's part of a space police called Nova Corps.
In Marvel vs. Capcom 3, each character has their own endings and some are pretty silly. In Nova's, he recruits every version of Mega Man to join the Nova Corps.
