Whew, about time

Congrats! I'm sure you consider your class size to be small but I'm pretty sure my class didn't break 80 (I once lived in the Middle of Nowhere, Arkansas, however).

I love Ni No Kuni. I need to get back to it. For some reason I've placed more attention on shooters (Killzone 3, Halo 4) recently. I love how old-fashioned it is.

I own a copy of Grave of the Fireflies and I've only seen it once. I agree: great film but its emotionally overwhelming and logically it proceeds and ends the only way it can. I value movies (especially the animated kind, for they are rare) that sheds light on post-war life (the stories we rarely hear about) and says so much with so little. Isao Takahata is a master and I'd recommend Only Yesterday if you haven't seen it. It's happy, hilarious and very much a slice-of-life film (that happens to be animated).

Whats your top 10 RPGs??

Games without Manuals ( crap )

Posted on 05/30/2013 at 12:44 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I don't mind digital manuals for Vita games as long as all of the essential info is there (and not just copyright, warranty stuff). For console games, it can be a problem. Halo 4 didn't come with one and I'm sure there are some commands I haven't figured out (had to look online to know how to assassinate, for example). If it's on the disc, like via the menus, that's fine. If in the case of Uncharted 3, where you have to download it separately, that's annoying.

Memorial Day, Far Cry 3 owns my life and one purchase

I agree. I've had to adjust my strategies every time since the amount of molotov-cocktail-throwing pricks increase in number. I always try to shoot the alarm boxes and I sometimes miss one. Basically I learn by dying but it usually takes 2 tries on average.

My 3DS is now my platform of choice (At least until August)

Happy belated birthday! Nice grab on Ni No Kuni; $30 is the lowest I've ever seen for it. I bought it for $40 but it's a good buy no matter what. I'm still enjoying my Vita but I'd like to buy a 3DS someday.

Props to anyone who can finish all of the Song of Ice & Fire books over a summer. Those books are dense. Some I can just plow through, but not those.

Ben's thoughts on XBox one and female butts!

To be honest, when I saw your headline, I skipped everything and made a beeline to anything regarding female butts. Nice work. Have more of those next time.

But, yeah, XboxOne. Messed up.

Xbox One?.....

Cliff Bleszinski's brother tweeted the other day about how the console resembled a DVR. Considering Microsoft is convinced (above all else) that you're not getting the most out of your television, that's probably not an accident.

I'm waiting to see what the power brick looks like before I agree with the "stackable" status.

Then again, if an component HD-DVD drive was included, I'd agree. Missed opportunity.

It's XBOX eve and it's all quiet.....hardly!

It took me 4 years into the 360's life to buy my own system (granted, I was mooching off my brother's 360, but still) so my big question (as a traditional late adopter) is how long will it take me to save up enough to buy one, should I want one?
