Hi, My Name is Super Step

Posted on 04/13/2014 at 03:33 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Hi Super Step.  What kind of super powers do you got?  What's your epic origin story?

Too bad you didn't call yourself Super Joe.  Then you could be like that army guy in Capcom's Commando.

Maybe I should be Super Cary.  But I don't know what my super powers would be.  What do you think?

I have strong religious beliefs, too, but many games that have contradictions to what i believe in don't bother me much because they're just make believe stories.  At least that's how I look at it.  Although I did stop playing Bayonetta because I didn't like to beat up angels.

I have weird dreams, too.  One time I dreamed I was a White Mage in a Final Fantasy game and the storyline for my dream was so epic it felt better than many existing FF storylines.  I think I even wrote a blog about it at 1up a few years ago.

And you should go and read my blog.  Because...uh...I said to. :) --Cary

Even though I'm not a fan of FFX, I am curious as to what's in the Limited Edition.

Bayonetta sure does like lollipops.  If I had a lollipop I'd give it to her because I don't like them.

I wonder what other books were on sale at Amazon?

They should make a movie called "The Adventures of Lex Luthor and His Funny Sidekick Lady."  If I were a bad guy, that's the kind of sidekick I'd like to have.

FF3 (or FF6, whatever you want to call it), is one of my top five favorite games of all time.  Right on up there with Pac-Man, Super Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and the Namco Museums.  So you can tell how much I like it.

FF6 has what I like to call the perfect soundtrack.  It's so good.  And my favorite FF hero and villian are from this game (Terra and Kefka).  I kind of consider the Esper Magicite the FF crystals of this game.

One thing to note: Gogo CAN use other abilities besides Mimic. You can go to the options screen and customize his commands.  I forget how you do this, but I know I did it back in the day.  So he CAN use items, and all the other characters abilities, too.  I had him use Blitz so I could have two people in my party who could use Bum Rush.

There are so many cool secrets in the game, too!  Equip a cursed shield or other armor and fight in 255 battles and it'll turn into a super powerful piece of armor.  Turn yourself into an imp and you can equip super powerful imp armor!  Mix and match relics to make you do really cool things, such as attack 8 times in one turn (use the Genji Glove and uh...something else, I forget right now).  Wisely equip certain Magicite Espers when you level up because some provide status boosts that you don't normally get when levelling up.  And much more!

I could go on and on about this game, but I'll stop there.  Like I said at first, it's one of the best games ever made.  At least for me.  --Cary

I didn't know there was a physical copy of PInball Arcade.  I wonder what other systems it would be available for?

I liked Mega Man's final smash move.

Well, the names of the alien creatures are "Lil' Bunnykins" so no, I do not think that would be a good name for the game.

And yes I did just make that up.

Lulu should have her own game.  It could be called Adventures of Lulu.  Get it?
