Taito Legends and its sequel are awesome.

I miss out on a lot of this stuff because I normally just play games like Yoshi's New island.  I did play Dragon's Crown, though.  I don't know what the big deal was, there have been video game characters that looked like that before.  I thought the Amazon was cool, myself.  Oh yeah, and thanks for the pics.

I never liked Bump N Jump that much but that's probably because I was never very good at it.  My favorite retro top-down racer is Spy Hunter.

Can't wait to see what other Data East games you liked.

I agree.  At least the first couple of seasons of the Digimon cartoon were pretty decent.

Was A New Beginning the one where you could pick up whole houses and move them around?  I think in that one, Farmer Man Cary wanted to marry Iroha.  I know in Rune Factory 4, Farmer Man Cary wanted to marry the female knight.  And that's all I can remember!

Dragon's Crown is great.  The Amazon is who I usually play as.

I have this collection as well.  I wrote a blog about it on 1up a few years back.  Sly Spy reminded me of a goofy Rolling Thunder.

As nasty as it is, Tab is a drink with no 'e' in it.  So is Tang.  How about Kool-Aid?

Back when I was writing for The Dallas Morning News, I was the designated Pokemon expert for a couple of years there.  So I also got to review a lot of other monster games like Digimon and Monster Rancher.  Monster Rancher was one of the better imitators, if I remember correctly.  I don't remember much about the series, though.  I know one of the PS2 titles let you use DVDs to make monsters.  And the TV cartoon was awful.  And when they remade Solomon's Key for the Game Boy Color, they changed all the characters into Monster Rancher ones.  Silly Tecmo!
