The Games of Nintendo Switch Sports

Just make sure you have the Wii Motion Plus add on to your remote or the updated Wii Motion Plus controller as Wii Sports Resort makes use of the one-to-one motion controls.

When I played this game on the Legends disc, I was annoyed with how many characters could attack you at once.  It was crazy.  So yeah, not one of the better beat 'em ups out there.  I do remember seeing this game at quite a few arcades back in the day, though.

4Kids must've also done one of the Ape Escape games, because the two main characters in that sounded like Ash and Misty!

Free Comic Book Day: Bloodborne, Witcher, Hulk

Believe it or not, there's not much in the way of Pac-Man comics.  I've never gotten into the Sonic Archie comics.  At one point Archie did some Mega Man comics.  Tried to get into those, but it's hard for me to get to comic book stores so I kind of fell off the loop with those.  It's hard to keep up with comic books!

You know, in my podcast, I never even mentioned Captain Marvel.  Wasn't really impressed with her character in the movie.  i did mention Wonder Woman and Power Girl in my podcast, so I guess they get honorable mentions.  She Hulk got in my top five spots, but for a very weird reason!

I never played this one, but one side scrolling Norse mythology game I did like was Odin Sphere.  I also liked Namco's Legend of Valkyrie, although that one had hardly anything to do with Norse mythology.  Crazy Namco!

  1. 1. How are you doing?
  2. I'm OK.  Could be better, but probably could be a lot worse.  Just have to count my blessings.  That's all I can do.
  3. 2. What are some YouTube recommendations?
  4. I recommend "Slopes Game Room."  Especially the "Complete History Of..." whatever game he does.  I especially especially recommend his Complete History of Pac-Man videos, because I helped make them!
  5. 3. In a fight to the death with someone your size and build you have the choice of a 6 inch knife or an aluminum bat. Which weapon do you choose, knowing that the one you don’t pick goes to your opponent?
  6. I couldn't fight my way out of a paper bag.  But in some video games, you can swat the knife away with a bat, so I'd pick the bat.  But I'd rather just make friends with whoever I was fighting.
  7. 4. What do you smell like (or think you smell like)?
  8. After work I probably smell like plumbing supplies.  But overall I'd like to think I'm odorless.
  9. 5. We’re going to McDonald’s; what do ya want?
  10. I want a Happy Meal with a Pac-Man toy.  And have it served to me by the McDonald's Moon Man!
  11. 6. What’s YOUR idea for a Stage Select?
  12. So since you haven't done one in a while, I'm not sure what you do in your Stage Select topic.  Is it just a general topic to talk about?  How about your favorite cereal?  Favorite video game based cereal?  And what video games would you LIKE to have as a cereal?
  13. And feel free to steal topics from my podcast, too.  I just did one on our parents favorite games and even had a special guest!
  14. https://anchor.fm/pizza-pixel-podcast
  15. 7. What video game fan fiction would you write (if you did)?
  16. Probably one with all Namco characters.  Or a Final Fantasy story, since I think I can come up with a better story than Square can.  I've even had a couple of dreams about that.  One dream I was working for Namco, but mixed in with regular human employees were Namco video game characters.  I talked with the receptionist, Reiko Nagase, as well as Taizo Hori (Dig Dug), and walked past Gil from Druaga and Taki from Soul Calibur.  But when I got to my cubicle, I thought to myself, "Wait, what do I do here again?" And then I woke up.  I also had a pretty elaborate dream about me being in a Final Fantasy game (I was a White Mage).  I think I wrote a blog about that on 1up.com a long time ago!

I think the Krusty episode is probably more well known.

Someone at Film Roman must've had a problem with clowns since both Garfield and Friends and The Simpsons were done by them.  Binky the Clown was really only featured in the cartoons, not so much in the Garfield comics.  He first appeared in the Garfield Halloween special, which was really good.  Binky got pretty popular, too, as he even got his own shape in the Garfield Fruit Snacks.  Those fruit snacks were really good, too, by the way.  Can you tell I'm a Garfield fan?

Yeah Eastasiasoft can be pretty dicey sometimes.  One minute they're releasing family friendly Ayo the Clown, the next minute a Pretty Girls game or Marble Maid.  But they're pretty supportive of me so I will review most of what they put out.  Although even I have my limits.  I probably won't review Seven Pirates H for instance. :)

Free Comic Book Day: Bloodborne, Witcher, Hulk

I usually miss out on Free Comic Book Day.  I either have to work or it's too hard for me to get to a store.  But I don't mind too much since I'm not into comic books anyway.  In the past I've gotten Street Fighter and Transformers comics on that day.  I recently recorded a podcast about my brother's and my favorite comic book characters, so watch out for that in in the next couple of months hopefully!  Can you guess who some of my favorites are?
