Depending on your interest in races and other side missions (which are all linear as well) this game can be completed in 10-13 hours I'd say. I had just about 12 hours of the single player campaign logged when I beat it.
I checked up, the movie takes place in the year 2020 or so. So apparently we'll have fighting robots in less than 8 years. Color me excited.
I think this game will serve as a blue print as to how a Wii U Resident Evil game could be produced. The scanner and inventory all seem to be natural features for that Wii U controller and I'll be interested to see if an eventual Resident Evil 6 utilizes some of these features.
The second and third Jak and Daxter games are great, but they are quite the departure from the original in terms of game mechanics. In all honesty they feel more like Ratchet and Clank games set in an open world environment. With racing.
Speaking of Ratchet and Clank, I'd like to see them get the HD collection treatment as well. I never got a chance to play the PlayStation 2 originals and since my slim system isn't backwards compatible a new collection would be the best way. I mean, they've already done with with Sly, so why not these guys too? And while we're at it, Sony should certainly give Crash the treatment.
How much you want to bet that at least one of these ends up on ebay?
I really hope I'm not the only one excited about this. Thing is, Gearbox is a real hit or miss kind of developer for me. I'm hoping this lands in the "hit" category.
I'm actually very interested in this title because this would play a lot like "The Thing" which is my favorite horror movie of all time (if you don't count Alien). It would be nice to see a horror game that doesn't depend on the dark.
After playing the Beta last night I'm included to agree at the moment.
It actually looks promising and I'm kind of surprised that it isn't a disc based game. This could be the beginning of major titles being released in digital format only on consoles.
This is a game I wasn't planning on picking up right away, but the more I see the more I want to play it.
