Shlooting for Fun and. . . Well, Just Fun.

I played Borderlands The Pre-Sequel again today with my Level 24 Baroness, doing side missions and avoiding the main story. It's so fun to just tool around and listen to the NPCs tell you their crazy stories while doing missions for them. I want to postpone the end as long as possible.

Then Mark wanted me to help him beat Deadlift, the first boss of the game, on Ultimate Vault Hunter mode (the highest difficulty in the game). I switched to my level 50 Claptrap and joined his level 53 Lawbringer. We found the boss fight pretty impossible. I guess we needed to be higher level or have better weapons.

At one point I had to respec my skills because sometimes the game makes you do that when you join another's game. I'm not sure why but maybe it happens when you join a higher skill level game. I love how easy it is to switch characters and skill levels in this game. It remembers all your missions on each skill level. You can jump into a friend's game and back out again, no problem. This is just great design and should be copied by all.

So the boss fight having failed, we turned it down to True Vault Hunter skill level and did the Holodome DLC. It's just an arena in the part of the game where you encounter the Eridians. You fight off hoards of enemies for 5 or 6 waves per round. We did all five rounds and I got two achievements for it. Mark was hosting, but I had to host to get one of the achievements because he had already played it solo. So I hosted and we played it again, but this time on Normal skill level. It was a cakewalk but still a load of fun. I tried to get an achievement for freezing three enemies and then stomping them to pieces at the same time. I got very, very close one time, but didn't get it. I was using the Excalibastard laser weapon, which is a hidden weapon in the game I found a while ago. It's very good at freezing enemies solid.

Between all these adventures, I was spending a fair amount of time in Concordia grinding weapons to make better ones and getting Shift Codes to open the golden key chest for random weapons. I got a few things out of that, but it was a lot of grinding and running back and forth from my bank to the grinder. It can get a little bit tedious and I wonder how valuable a task it really is.

Next week I'll probably tackle the Claptrap DLC with my Baroness. Mark says it's really good, so I'm looking forward to it. Then I'll move on, I think. So much else I want to play on console.

Still can't get into Borderlands man. Just can't. Sorry for the lameass comment but I thought I should comment on something haha.

I get ya. Borderlands seems to get very repetitive after a while. I'm nearly burned out already, but I'll run through the last DLC before moving on.

I've been playing the new Killing Floor 2 Early Access, and boy has it got me hooked. Matches are supposed to consist of 6 players, but for some reason there have been like 50 players in the same match at a time and it's just completely bonkers. I haven't had this much fun since Left4Dead2. It's really quite bloody good! Cool

Holly cow! Just watched several trailers. Tripwire did some interesting stuff but only on PC, until now. PS4 is looking better and better to me.

Claptrap makes me think of a juice box for some reason.

I was thinking of the Minions from Despicable Me, but I can see the juice box thing. Ha ha!

Minions remind me of Servebots.

You're slowing selling me into getting the Handsome Collection with your talk of Borderlands. I was at Toys R Us yesterday and I had to walk away from the video game section.

Borderlands is so much fun. So easy to play with friends and jump around in the game from mode to mode and character to character. And the loot! So much loot it's overwelming, but they managed to hilariously name every single one of them. How?

I'm still seeing that game for cheap now a days. about ready to take the trip, I just need to decide either XBox 360 or PS3 version

It's a barrel of fun. I was tempted to get it again for PS3 just so I could play it on two systems. Goofy me.
