I'm Back, sort of.

Hey guys, I'm writing again. I kinda just hermitised myself and didn't really talk to anyone for a while. I just avoided the internet mostly, and the only gaming thing I checked up on was Konami's retarded attempt at suicide.

So How have I been? Idk. Not great. I haven't felt like myself lately, disappointed I'm still unemployed, in debt, and still living with my grandparents. Pretty pissed at my life choices until now and kinda just wishing everything and everyone would go away. So yeah, hopefully that changes sometime soon.

So what have I been up to? Well, I got into Magic: The Gathering. Never played before but a friend from college was into it and it gives us a reason to see each other. My two main decks are green/blue and red/blue. I quite like it, and I got my nan and girlfriend into it. They both bought their own deck, but nan got really hooked, and she buys boosters every couple of days to change her deck to try and beat me... and she's getting a little too good for my liking *shakes head*

I also visited a geek store that was closing down and bought these things:

All of which are very cool. I would have bought more but I'm flat broke as it is and I'm planning on going to nova-con so yeah.

In terms of video games, two games have taken my attention: The Witcher 3 which so far may even beat out Bloodborne as my GOTY (I know, I'm as surprised as you!), and invisible inc. which is like xcom and mgs had a baby. If you like turned based strategies, this is a must buy,

Other than that I've been catching up on Louie, Game of Thrones, and the unbreakable kimmy schmidt, which wins the award of funniest show I've seen since Brooklyn Nine Nine.

Finally, I'll leave you with my current favourite song:

I've kinda gone off metal a little and mainly been into underground/alternate hip hop.

Wow, I don't think you swore once in there. You must be ill! Surprised

Welcome back. I hope you can find a nice rut to get into soon. I have a friend whose hobbies have all gone by the wayside in favor of Magic, so I know that can be quite the rabbit hole.

Cool buys. Sandman is really good. I need to get back to reading that. I'm on volume 5.

Sandman is REALLY good. Gaiman is a golden god of awesome though.

And sorry, I'll get back to swearing soon haha.

I've got a Magic Deck sitting around some where. Hard to find other people to play with though, as it seems pretty niche and probably requires an entry point at an early age. The video game variant is quite accessible and just as good I think.

I only played Invisible Inc. for a bit before playing Darkest Dungeon which took up more of my time and now also Witcher 3. I'm trying to get through Witcher 3 so I can get back into Pillars of Eternity, which I feel is a strong GOTY contender as well. I love old new games.

Other than that, you haven't missed much in the way of gaming news, so you picked the right time to get off the gaming hamster wheel.

I've also only dabbled with the Pathfinder board game, but again, hard to find other board game fans in short notice.

Magic is actually surprisingly popular, and if you talk to people who sell the cards you'll probably find out there's a group who plays regularly near you. There's one here, and my town is kind of A) not big and B) doesn't really indulge much in geekery.

Finding board game fans is properly difficult though. Fortunately there is tabletop sim on steam which is looking to be mighty helpful.

I'm kinda of hoping Hearthstone might come to consoles. I want to play that.

I'm playing The Witcher 3 too.  I recently bought a PS4 just for that game.

I watched a good bit of Kimmy Schmidt.  I didn't finish out the season though.  I should get on that.  It's a fun show.

Indeed you should, it's awesome. How are you enjoying the PS4? If you've got blogs about it link them :)

Only been playing The Witcher 3.  I played Last of Us for maybe 20 min.  I just wanted to start it up.  The Witcher 3 is all I want to play.  It's only to take forever to finish that game.

I hadn't wrote a blog in a long time.  I should put up something.  My life is pretty boring.  Full of family, work, and bills.  Playing games is getting harder to do, so I try to focus on a couple at a time.

Hey Blake. Good to hear from you. I have a digital copy of the first Sandman volume. I really enjoyed it. Big fan of Gaiman. Music vid link is broken so can't listen unfortunately.

So glad to see ya around here Blake.

I've got a set of Magic: The Gathering, but i've only played with it once. I do want to get into it, which why i'm considering starting with the Magic Steam games.

I've bought the first Sandman at a book fair at the beginning of May. Loved American Gods, so I will read this one probably after finishing the first volume of Y: The Last Man.

Got Invisible Inc on my wishlist.

Finally, nice song you posted.

Thanks man!

Yeah try the steam games, they're quite helpful in understanding the rules.

And nice. I haven't read American Gods, though I've heard great things about it.

Hey, I'm feeling shitty about moving back in with my parents and being in debt too. Wooo!

I never got into Magic, probably because none of my friends were into it, and when the cards were released they would always sell out. It was probably a good thing that I didn't get into it.

Your pickups look interesting especially the board game.
