Yep, I'm at the Hero level in all twelve lives in Fantasy Life. Just got there in cook today. I'm going for Legend in Woodcutter because it's the quickest one. I just have to cut down a total of 500 trees to get there. I'm at 360 right now. Boring at hell but fairly simple. I'm sticking to trees I can fell in one hit. I'm not sure how many I'll bother to do this with. Some of them I don't even have enough quests left to make the grade.

I've also realized that there is DLC but it costs 11.29 plus tax and that's a hell of a lot for one additional area.

Might be moving on.

In other news I've put five hours into Grandia II Anniversary. I love the turn based battle system because there is quite a bit of strategy involved. Keeping enemies from releasing their most powerful attacks is a definite requirement if you don't like dying a lot.

What'cha doing pixlbites?

sounds like you've really sucked the marrow out of that game. Of course, I thought the same thing a month ago.  Laughing

things are good here.  drinking beer and watching preseason football.  about to play some games.

I did buy Grandia. I installed but I haven't played it yet. I wish JRPG's weren't so goddamn crappy these days...  Frown

Grandia II is fun but there are some issues that I put down to it being on PC. It will freeze up on occasion and once it has returned me to the title screen in the middle of a cut scene. The freeze ups you just have to wait out. Occasionally it will go black screen and you have to wait 30 seconds or so before it loads whatever is next.

It looks really good though for a DC port. Nice and bright but sharper than the original.

yeah I'm not really shocked by that. It is a port, after all.

That reminds me, did u ever continue playing Trails in the Sky?

No I need to get back to that. I got further than I've ever gone in the game on the PC version. I was starting a whole new chapter when I stopped.

I'm currently trying to sync music to my newly restored iPod. I have no idea why it restored or why it wouldn't actually restore until I restarted my laptop, or why it suddenly says my library would be going over the data limits when I had several gigs left over after syncing before the recovery, but just ... God, I hate iTunes.

iTunes, like most Apple tech sucks.

Especially when it's communicating with Windows. JFC.

Drinking Yuengling Black & Tan and about to start researching 1999. Great job on Fantasy LIfe. I gotta get back to that one.

Contemplating getting ready for work and dreading spending another day in the booth. Our booth people get laid off way too soon. Not even the 3DS can save me from the wretchedness of being trapped in a little box and having to smile and be nice all day. It's exhausting.

I saw that Grandia game at PAX this past weekend.  I think it was at...GungHo's booth?
