Black Friday Started Early. I Got a PS4

Sales started on Thanksgiving day this year. BestBuy opened at 5pm and so did Target and probably a lot of other places. I couldn't get there until about 9pm or so, and so I missed the TV deal I was looking to get for my gamer friend, but I saw the PS4 sitting there for $300 and couldn't resist it at that price. Pic below:

Whoopie! Now I can get even farther behind in my list of games. I'm going to have to figure out a strategy to play the new as well as the old stuff in my collection.

After BestBuy, and not finding a good enough deal on TVs, I went to Target and found a 40" HDTV for $218. Now Mark can get rid of that old non-HDTV with the burn mark right up the middle. I'm going over to his place tomorrow to help him set it up. I can't wait to see it up and running.

That sucks. I'm so worried about the fragility of these consoles. I wanted to shove my 360 like four inches to one side, but it had a disc in it, and I heard you can brick it if you move it with a disc spinning in the drive. Gotta wear kid gloves for these systems nowdays.

You have a newer model so you should be alright. Just make sure you dust the air vents regularly because that's whats fucked a lot of ps4s.

I'm pretty good at dusting, but my buddy Mark is NOT. In installing his new TV, I had to scrape off a strange mottled coating off his PS3. It was just piles of dust.

I'll add you next time I'm on. I've got some 360 stuff to finish up first, but then I'll be on the new systems. I got Killzone Shadowfall and Uncharted Drake's Collection on PS4 so far. I'm getting EDF 4.1 in just a week or so too.

Hell yeah the PS4 bundle! Congrats man, and yeah there were a lot of deals on TVs at Target. I didn't want to actually look at prices because I would have tried to talk myself into getting a bigger TV and I just bought my current one last Spring.

This was perfect timing for my friend Mark, who's TV was developing a burn mark right up the middle, and was growing. He had his Dell flat screen 38" 1080i TV since 2004. It was $600 back then. The new one was $218 and full HD and a few inches bigger. Turns out though, it has not so great sound, so now he's looking to find speakers for it.

Wow that TV has had a good run. If you guys play in a small room a decent sound bar should do the trick. A decent temporary fix is an older 5.1 desktop computer speakers setup.

He's looking into desktop speakers right now. I used to have several sets of them lying around before I switched to laptops. All that stuff is long gone now though. I tried to convince him of the soundbar thing though. It plugs in through that optical audio jack in the back, making more room for multiple systems on that tv.
