This is the one day sale (Saturday, December 5) on the Skylanders SuperChargers starter kit. It's 50% off and you get a previous starter kit for free! Then the SuperChargers figures are buy-one-get-one-free. So I got the SuperChargers starter kit for Xbox One, Trap Team starter kit (also for Xbox One), and two SuperCharger figures that work with each other: Dive-Clops and his vehicle Dive Bomber. The salesman and I were joking that Dive-Clops looks like a tiny Big Daddy from BioShock. Maybe he's Little Baby Brother. Check out the pic below:

I also stopped at Jay Street Video Games in the mall and found Genma Onimusha. I'd just bought Onimusha Warlords for PS2 a few weeks ago, but then read it had come out again a little later for Xbox and renamed Genma Onimusha. It has some improvements over the original but is basically the same game. I wanted it on Xbox, because I just favor that system, but also because of the improvements.

Now I'll go add this stuff to my various on and off line databases. How crazy are the new Skylanders toys. I'm excited as an adult, I would've gone totally nuts as a ten year old.

I can say now I have the starter kits for all the main Skylanders games on a current system, but I'd still like to have Spyro's Adventure and Giants starter packs for last gen. I'll keep my eye out for those at a good price. I'm not even going to try for a complete figure collection though. There's over a hundred of them and growing. I'll just get them when they're on sale and try not to get dupes.

That's all folks. Tomorrow the actual gaming begins.

I should look around at some local game shops, or maybe see if Half Price Books has some deals. I can't think of anything under $50 and that you could get in a brick-and-mortar store for Christmas, but I bet I'd think of a few things with a quick trip.

I'm trying to get the starter packs for the two last gen Skylanders games now. The 360 versions are not in any of the Gamestops around me. I think I'll have to just pick up the games and then a portal of power for 360. I can get all that for about $15. Then I'll pick up some figures down the road when they have sales on them. Gamestop has lots of figures right now. I'm sure they will try to move them with some more sales down the road.

Seems there's always something on sale going on in the stores. They gotta compete with online somehow.

I'm glad I've been able to review all the Skylanders games.  Too bad you didn't get the Wii U and 3DS versions.  They come with Donkey Kong and Bowser Skylanders!

I was considering the 3DS Skylanders because I like those mini figures. Maybe I'll get into that sometime. Yes, DK and Bowser would be neat! The Wii-U is a natural place for such games, but I can't resist the achievement hunting.

Just read your review. I didn't know DK and Bowser were also amiibos. I'm getting real interested now.

That's a good deal on the Skylanders sets and figures (Cmon stores do a buy one get one 50% off on Lego Dimensions.) Check Walmart for the older sets, I've seen a couple floating around. I have those Onimusha games too! I went through a phase of trying to get all of them for the consoles, and I finished the original on the PS2, but only got halfway through the updated version on X-Box.

I was just at Walmart and checked out their Skylanders. They didn't have Giants of Spyro's Adventure starter kits, but they had a lot of figures. I'll keep looking though.

I'm going to play Genma Onimusha next on my playlist. I can't wait.
