Coincidental to my recent interest in Skylanders is this display I saw at one of my local libraries. See pic below:

There's Trap Team, Swap Force and Giants characters on the top shelf and, I guess, core and series characters on the bottom. I've never seen that ship display before. I didn't know they made just toys; although, I noticed a line of RC cars being sold with the new SuperChargers characters at Gamestop the other day.

Some of these figures as especially cool like the Giants one with the big eye. I'm going to keep a look out for them at Gamestop next time I go in there.

A Skylanders display at a library?  That seems kind of unusual.  But then, I haven't been to a library in a while.

Skylanders are super popular with kids and have spawned multiple products.  The franchise has made more money for Activision than Call of Duty!  There was even a Skylanders balloon at last year's and this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

All my local libaries have display boxes in their entrances. A different collection is presented there every so often. Last one I noticed was a Harry Potter memorabilia collection.

I remember going into a department store down in North Carolina on vacation and seeing that the endcaps of the video game section had Skylanders on one and Call of Duty on the other, Activision's two main cash cows. I saw that float too. Cool!

I like how local spots like the library will have these community showcases. The local fair here used to have a section where kids who wanted to enter their Lego creations would be displayed. You know the kids who own these figures are excited to see their stuff displayed like this.

After this Xmas Skylanders sale is over, I will probably be able to do my own display case.

I'm trying to figure out a way to display it all for a photograph. When the sale's over, I'll do it. That would be Saturday, the 19th. Star Wars weekend.
