Skylanders Frenzy: Day Two

Today I went for my favorite core Skylanders, Giants. There are 8 of them, according to wiki, and I picked up five today. One I have from the starter kit, so I have two left. Here's another lousy picture of what I got for $19 with the Gamestop buy-2-get-3-free sale on all figures (that includes Disney Infinity stuff, which I'm not into. . . yet):

So, top to bottom, left to right: Eye-Brawl, Crusher, Swarm, Thumpback, Ninjini. These Giants figures are a little bigger than the normal ones, and so are a little more expensive - around 8-10 dollars each. I saw a lot of variants of these figures like a Halloween and Legenday Eye-Brawl that looked super cool. But I behaived myself, and stuck to my plan of core figures only.

Next I'll pick up the last two Giants core figures and some Earth figures from the Spyro's Adventure series. Then I think I'll work on Swap Force because there's only 16 of them and I already have probably five.

I consider that I might be getting a bit out of control with this. This holiday season has been such a big money pit for me entertainment wise, that I've instituted a new personal policy of not buying anything until I'm ready to play it, excepting items that might go scarse soon after release, and crazy sales like the one I'm participating in now. Sometimes going overboard can help, because it pushes you to go to the next level of restraint.

Oh, I'll open them up. I'm not that kind of collector. I want to play with them. I recall I got a little crazy about those Dungeons & Dragons Mini Game figures a while back. They weren't ever on sale though, so I only got a few of them.

The Giants figures are pretty cool. I only have the big tree looking one. There are some others that looked pretty neat, like a bee one and a genie one.

Those would be Tree Rex, Swarm and Ninjini. . . Oh my, I'm becoming a Skylanders snob already. Help!

I got all 8 core Giants characters listed on the wiki page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Skylanders_characters#Giants).
