Star Citizen

Please be good. Please be good. Please for the love of god be good. Serious Blake here for a moment: This game has the power to either affirm Kickstarter or utterly destroy it for gaming. It has had more money thrown at it than anything that doesn't save lives deserves, and it's ridiculously ambitious.

If somehow they manage to pull this off, the results could be stupendous. Who hasn't wanted a space sim where you can go to every planet, get out of your ship and just explore. Or kill things. Or, well whatever else you fancy.

Honestly, at this stage I don't care if it's good. I just want to know!

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada

There is a rather high chance this might suck. It's 40k, after all, and Games Workshop is kind of just shovelling the license out to any game developer with a working kidney.

But 40k is just so gosh darn cool! I recently Warhammer 40k in a big way. I've been painting figures, reading novels, playing the good 40k games. I've been breathing this lore in and I really want this game to be good.

And it better be. It looks like Homeworld, but with 40k. And since 40k is basically Game of Thrones in space, but written by a 15 year old history geek - that is a very good thing.

I've haven't given star citizen much of a look. I guess I'll dive deeper and see how I feel. I didn't even know about the battlefleet title.

So Star Citizen is No Man's Sky for PC users?

Well, both will be on the PC. The real question will be, which one of the two will live the expectations? Perhaps both? None on the worst case?

I just hope they go for realism and include Space Mumps and Exoplanetary Syphilis.
