Gah. Still have a massive headache. Still hate everythings. My eyes aren't as achy today which is good. I'm having problems sleeping lately since it's so bloody hot. Also, since the blackout lasted so long, all of our food is off - $230 worth of groceries that we got to eat barely any of - and I don't get paid until Monday. So it looks like we're having tinned soup and noodles until then.

Here's my Warhammer Progress, if anyone cares. They're nowhere near done. I need to do a second coat on most of them as well as tidy up my mistakes, but colourwise they're starting to look okay.

Where I live, utility companies have to reimburse you for spolied food due to prolonged blackouts. Might be worth looking into...

Hmm... might look into that.

that warhammer stuff is hard fucking core dude.

Maybe it's the paint fumes giving you headaches and hurting your eyes?

Or paint fumes?

Yeah, look into the possibility of reimbursement for groceries.

Nice paint job! Love it! My comic store is chock full of Warhammer figures and painting supplies. Seems like a thing.

I've experienced many blackouts in my neighborhood, and they are always during the height of summer. What I do is run down to the gas station or market and buy bags of ice. Then I take cold insulated shopping bags (canvas or plastic tote bags will make do), put the fridge food in them and surround them with the ice. Put them back in the fridge. Then I open the fridge as little as possible. In 20 years, I have never had food spoil during a blackout. During an especially long blackout, I go back to the store for new ice.

That is terrible what happened to your groceries. I do hope your electric company has some kind of reimbursement. The figures look good! There is a lot of cool details on them.
