The other day I was in Gamestop getting Saints Row IV and I was told that buy 2 get 3 free sale on toys to life figures was still going on. My eyes popped out wide and I went to take a look. I couldn't think of what Skylanders figures I still wanted. I already got quite a few. So I left without buying anything. For the moment.

Later, I was thinking, and reading up on, Disney Infinity because I it came up on a list of games with online co-op I was putting together. The sale is good for those figures too. I think tomorrow, when I got pick up my second copy of Saints Row IV for Mark, I'll take a look at the Disney Infinity figures. I might even get a pack of five. They're priced very similiarly to Skylanders figures.

At some point I'll have to get the starter packs. The 3.0 version is on sale right now, but it's still $50, and I'm trying to resist any large purchases right now. I will get them eventually, especially if they have that sale where you buy one starter pack and get another one for free. That would be sweet. I'm going to ask about that sale tomorrow too. Maybe that's still on.

Ah, stuff. There's always more of it.

I need to look again at my budget to make sure I keep my end-of-month splurge fund.

I've been good since the holidays, but small purchases are creeping back in. I have to keep a close watch on it.

Oh no!!!  You know Lego is next, don't you!  I hope you have a lot of space at your house!  Tongue Out

I know. I found a neat cylindrical case for the Skylanders but it's already getting full. I'd like to have a display case for all the figures. I'm thinking how that might be done for cheap.

Yeah I have the same problem with vinyl.  I bought this crate for them and now it's already full.

OMG! I had boxes and boxes of vinyl at one point taking up half my apartment. I digitally ripped a bunch of them, but then they had to go. So sad. I wanted to wallpaper my walls with them.

I love my vinyl so much.  It's the only thing I really collect

I have about a dozen or so that I need to rip. I got the turntable setup and everything, but I haven't found the time to do it yet.

My problem with Disney Infinity is that you can only use certain characters in certain worlds.  You can mix and match characters in the toy box hub world, but if you go to a specific Disney themed level, you can only use characters that belong to that world.  I think that's kind of missing the point of these 'toys to life' games, and why I think Skylanders and LEGO Dimensions do it better.  Still, if they made a Gravity Falls or Darkwing Duck figure, for instance, I'd be tempted to get it!

There is a Donald Duck figure. I want that one.

As someone who owns the first Disney Infinity just be advised that in the story missions, you can only use the characters for that world. In Toy Box mode however you can use whoever you like. Disney Infinity excels at is multiplayer within the toy box. My younger cousins and I had a ball just building random things within this area (even after I created a Disney version of a Call of Duty Map)

I've been briefed on the DI figure limitations. Everyone seems to say 3.0 is the best so far, but I'd like to sample all the game worlds, if I can. The toy box mode looks pretty cool. I can't wait to try that.

We got a super good deal on the original Disney Infimity starter pack a couple years ago but haven't played it much. We got it for our kids ostensibly but they're still too young. My three-year-old hasn't quite grasped the concept that the buttons he's pushing are making the character on screen do things. But we'll keep trying lol. It'll click sooner or later.

My nephew started with Skylanders, and now that he's almost a teenager, he got Disney Infinity. I think he really wants to play Destiny though. Teenager time is PvP time, I guess.

Toys to life, I've been buying Amiibo but I that's about it. I had to slow down in buying stuff as of lately.

I wish the amiibo's were part of that sale. I'd get a few more of them.
